I’m writing a story that is somewhat of a southern gothic, how are my names as far as being believable? (it is based in 2003 and 1990)

[name]Karen[/name] [name]Sawyer[/name]

[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Holland[/name]-[name]Wallace[/name]

[name]Candace[/name] “[name]Candy[/name]” Smeath

[name]Gunner[/name] [name]Wallace[/name]

[name]William[/name] “Chev” or “[name]Chevy[/name]” [name]Holland[/name]

[name]Daniel[/name] [name]Rowan[/name]

Your names seem realistic. Which are from which time period? My favorite is [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Rowan[/name].

Definitely believable, but also not cliche. You could also check out the top 1000 list for the years your characters were born if you get stuck.

[name]Daniel[/name] [name]Rowan[/name], when said aloud, sounds kind of…I don’t know. It doesn’t sound right. But I don’t think it’s a big issue, it’s just a matter of opinion.
