  • Scarlet - one t

Personally, I always spell it with two t’s, and I think that’s just because the only Scarlett I know of is Scarlett Johansson, and she spells it that way!

I like both, however I voted for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] since personally I detest the nickname “Scar”, but think that “Lettie” (like [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] for Charlotte) would be adorable, and it works better in my mind with two "t"s

I spell it with one t, just because two looks a bit much whereas [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] is more streamlined imo.

I think of scarlet as the color and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] as a name. It might be the extra T, but [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] feels more complete to me

[name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] feels more grounded and I like that it is the original spelling of the word, not altered to be a name.

[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] looks more complete and namey to me

I prefer [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f], because I like the colour connection. It gives it a more naturey vibe, which appeals to me. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] Johansson is a pretty persuasive argument for two Ts though.

The only [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] I knew spelled it with double t’s, I just think [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] looks more complete and name-ish to me

I’ve only ever met or heard of Scarlett’s, but I prefer [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] because a) it looks better imo, and b) I like the connection to the word

If I heard the name in the wild, I’d spell it [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f].

If I used it myself, I’d spell it [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f].
