I’m most familiar with [name_u]Kobe[/name_u] due to the [name_u]Kobe[/name_u] [name_u]Bryant[/name_u] association, but I like [name_m]Coby[/name_m] most of the -y ending options.
[name_m]Koby[/name_m] is my favourite, but I have come across a few Cobys as well. I’m not a big fan of [name_u]Kobe[/name_u] / [name_m]Cobe[/name_m] with an -e.
I like that [name_m]Koby[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Colin[/name_m] doesn’t repeat the C initial. It’s definitely not a big deal, especially because here the K and C make the same sound, but I think it’s more pleasing to the eye, which is something to consider.
I think people will generally default to spelling it [name_u]Kobe[/name_u] , especially because of the late basketball icon . I tend to stick with more phonetic spelling or the generally used spelling
I prefer [name_m]Coby[/name_m], however I think it depends a little bit on the middle name you go with, as I find that can change how it looks all together.
For example if you want with a traditional middle name like [name_m]Coby[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] that looks coherent in style, but if say you went with [name_u]Kobe[/name_u] [name_m]Xander[/name_m] that also looks coherent.
I have to say [name_m]Coby[/name_m]. I really do like the name [name_u]Kobe[/name_u], but I feel like the strong association with [name_u]Kobe[/name_u] [name_u]Bryant[/name_u] would make it a harder name to have.
