Spelling for Cia, Sia, Ceia, Cea

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],

I really like the name [name_f]Cia[/name_f]. We are all C’s so would like a C name for my baby girl. Not sure about how we should spell it though.
[name_f]Cia[/name_f], Ceia, Cea (I would put an acute accent on the e for Cea, like the french do for [name_f]Bea[/name_f], [name_f]Tea[/name_f] - but wondering if that would be a hassle, I already couldn’t figure out how to include it on here! Without the accent people might pronounce it like Sea). Ceia is like [name_f]Leia[/name_f], the biblical spelling of [name_f]Leah[/name_f]. [name_f]Cia[/name_f] is nice and simple, but does it remind of [name_f]CIA[/name_f]…?

Any other C name similar to [name_f]Cia[/name_f] would be welcome too.

I love the [name_f]Cia[/name_f] spelling. It’s easily pronounceable too because [name_f]Mia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lia[/name_f] are easy recognized. I think with Cea and Ceia you might have to explain pronunciation.

My vote’s on [name_f]Cia[/name_f]. Easiest on pronunciation.

I think [name_f]Cia[/name_f] is your best bet. I like [name_f]Sia[/name_f] best of all versions but that defeats your purpose of being all Cs. If you put an acute accent on the e in Cea then aren’t you changing the pronuciation to [name_m]SAY[/name_m]-ah?

I know a girl named [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Cia[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Cia[/name_f] is the best alternative, both when it comes to pronounciation and how it looks

I like Sia best, but in your case of wanting to continue the C-theme, I feel that Cia is your best bet by far - easiest to pronounce, and also, the other spelling options change the orginal (and preferred?) pronunciation altogether. I don’t think it looks too much like CIA - the lowercase -ia erases the acronym enough not to have that as my first thought.

Ciara, Cora, Caia, Calla & Clio/Cleo are short and begin with your C…just to offer a couple of further suggestions. Cecilia ‘Cia’ or Cassia ‘Cia’ could work well too if you’re up for the idea of using Cia as more of a nickname.

I think [name_f]Cia[/name_f] works best. It doesn’t remind me of the [name_f]CIA[/name_f].

[name_f]Cia[/name_f] does immediately make me think of the [name_f]CIA[/name_f], yes. [name_f]Sia[/name_f] would probably be your best bet to avoid spelling problems. You do, however, seem to love [name_f]Cia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sia[/name_f] would look out of places if you’re all C’s.

I’ve met a [name_f]Clea[/name_f] (pronounced [name_m]Clay[/name_m]-uh) in Europe and thought it’s quite pretty! It might work as an alternative. I’m sure you could add the accent over the e as well here.
