We have two boys [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] and [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] we just had a girl going with [name_f]Romy[/name_f], some suggestions think [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] and [name_f]Romy[/name_f] are a bit close but we think it runs smoothly. Our next question is spelling, should it be [name_f]Romy[/name_f] [name_m]Rankin[/name_m] or [name_f]Romi[/name_f] [name_m]Rankin[/name_m]?
Congratulations!
[name_f][/name_f]I personally prefer [name_f]Romy[/name_f]. I think it has a but more spunk!
I usually like -i spellings, but for [name_f]Romy[/name_f] the -y just looks right!
Either would work nicely, but if I remember correctly from a previous question, you had concerns about [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] seeming like the odd one out with [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] and [name_f]Romy[/name_f]. Perhaps the [name_f]Romi[/name_f] spelling could help tie [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] in a bit more with the ‘i’.
[name_f][/name_f]Apologies if this never was, or is no longer a concern.
Congratulations on baby girl! [name_f][/name_f] You’ve chosen a beautiful name for her. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]My[/name_f] preference is [name_f]Romy[/name_f], it feels more timeless and easy to live with, but both are legitimate names and so lovely!
[name_f][/name_f]All the best!
I prefer [name_f]Romy[/name_f] visually and I think it might be easier for people to pronounce/spell. Both are nice though.
I like Romy!!!
I think if someone said “Hi this is my daughter Romy” I’d automatically spell it [name_f]Romy[/name_f] in my head.
[name_f][/name_f]But [name_f]Romi[/name_f] also looks really cute!
[name_f]Romy[/name_f] is more European and elegant to me! I would choose it. [name_f]Romi[/name_f] might make me think it’s [name_m]Rommy[/name_m] or at least second guess it.
[name_f]Romi[/name_f]
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Romy[/name_f]
Thank you! That was a concern raised by others when choosing the name [name_f]Romy[/name_f], I think it flows quiet nice in the family but made me think about if it was right fit, thanks ![]()
