Has anyone considered [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]‘s:Taming of the Shrew’ spelling of [name_f]Katherina[/name_f]?
Could you share your objections? The association with the shrew, the Patriarchal themes of the play or its just looks O TT.?
I realized I left the spelling that way, with the ‘th’ because it is the way I write the name mostly. [name_f]Katerina[/name_f] or [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] look lovely but have a slightly ‘foreign’ feel for me.
I don’t want my daughter to have an outlandish spelling of her name because in this instance I think opposite to most UK. US.AUS or NZ Berries. The acute is unintentional.
