I love the name [name]Keira[/name] but keep getting the comment that people don’t care for the newfangled spelling. I live in Midwestern US where [name]Keira[/name] is the only spelling of the name people have heard of and [name]Ciara[/name] would be pronounced as see-air-uh. What’s your take? What’s your favorite spelling of the name and would it bother you having the [name]Keira[/name] spelling even though it isn’t the original? Thanks for the feedback! 
My favourite is definitely [name]Ciara[/name] and as the original spelling I would tend to encourage its use, but I live in [name]Ireland[/name] where that’s almost always used as the spelling of the name, and never pronounced as [name]Sierra[/name]. After that I would go with [name]Keira[/name], but I know [name]Kiara[/name] has links to the [name]Lion[/name] [name]King[/name], so if that’s a turn-on or turn-off you, act accordingly! No matter the spelling, it’s a lovely name

Wait, were you pronouncing it kee-YAR-uh or [name]KEER[/name]-uh? I knew someone named [name]Ciara[/name], pronounced kee-YAR-uh, and I thought it was really nice.
I like [name]Kira[/name] best too. The spelling is straight forward and so the pronunciation is more obvious. It is a separate name than [name]Ciara[/name]/[name]Keira[/name], so the meaning is different if that matters to you.
I think in the US, the [name]Keira[/name] spelling works the best since that’s the one people are most familiar with due to [name]Keira[/name] Knightley.
I like [name]Kira[/name] or [name]Ciara[/name]. I just don’t like the look of [name]Kiera[/name] at all. [name]Kira[/name] is a legit, original spelling, too.
[name]Kira[/name] is my favorite spelling. [name]Kyra[/name] could also work- there’s a famous actress with her name spelled like that (can’t remember who). Though that runs the chance of being mispronounced as kye-ruh. [name]Both[/name], however, are seperate names from the [name]Ciara[/name] origin- meaning light.
I thought [name]Ciara[/name] was prn [name]Sierra[/name], because I knew a girl named that who said that was how it was said. So, I just thought it was a kry8tiv spelling and then got laughed at on forums. [name]Ciara[/name] is likely used as a yunieke spelling of [name]Sierra[/name] here in the States, so it doesn’t make a good choice [name]IMO[/name] if you want to prn it the correct way.

Have to admit it, my favourite is [name]Keira[/name] because of [name]Keira[/name] Knightley.
I think [name]Keira[/name] is the prettiest by far. I know a [name]Keira[/name], so that’s the one I’m most used to, but it also look much more esthetic and pleasing than the [name]Ciara[/name]. I also love that the name starts with a K, it makes it bolder and more beautiful.

I like both [name]Keira[/name] and [name]Kira[/name]. I think [name]Ciara[/name] is pretty as well, but I would pronounce it Kee-are-ah.
[name]Kira[/name] is the only spelling known where I come from but I wouldn´t mind [name]Keira[/name] either. I like them both.
[name]Ciara[/name] because it’s the traditional spelling.
If you use the original [name]Ciara[/name] spelling in the states, it will always be pronounced like [name]Sierra[/name].
If you are looking for the 3-syllable name then you should use the [name]Kiera[/name] version, as in Knightley.
If you want it pronounced with two syllables, then I would use [name]Kyra[/name], like actress Sedgewick. =]
[name]Keira[/name] Knightley’s name has two syllables - ‘keer-a’.
Traditional [name]Ciara[/name] is my favourite too. Of the Anglicisations I like [name]Kira[/name] the most.
