Spoiler name?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! So I’m working on this thriller/mystery involving a missing person’s case. This character goes missing in childhood and is unaware of their real identity until the twist ending of the story. Would calling that character [name_f]Renee[/name_f] make the ending too obvious? It fits the time period, but I don’t want the name’s meaning to give too much away too soon. Would you be able to guess that a character named [name_f]Renee[/name_f] isn’t actually dead but living as someone else? [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t be afraid to be blunt!! Thanks for your input

I doubt many people know what [name_f]Renee[/name_f] means; and I, a name nerd, wouldn’t realise the connection between the name and story.

I think it would be an interesting detail!

I agree, [name_f]Renee[/name_f] is a common name. I wouldn’t assume there’s a meaning to it.

I don’t think it’s a spoiler at all. Hardly any person reading your story will be a namenerd that recognises the meaning. [name_m]Even[/name_m] namenerds who know what [name_f]Renee[/name_f] means wouldn’t probably think of the name as a “spoiler”. I think it’s nice that you somewhat connected your heroine’s name to the story in a non-obvious way. It shows that the plot and characters are well thought-out.
