I am looking for spunky and interesting nicknames for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]!
Any ideas? I like quirky!
I am not a fan of [name_u]Caro[/name_u] or [name_f]Carol[/name_f].

I am not a fan of [name_u]Caro[/name_u] or [name_f]Carol[/name_f].
[name_f]Carrie[/name_f]
[name_f]Linny[/name_f]
Are the 2 that come to mind. Are you pronouncing it with a long I or a short I? ([name_u]Lyn[/name_u] or line)
I prefer [name_f]Linny[/name_f]
[name_f]Cara[/name_f]
[name_f]Carly[/name_f] or [name_f]Carlie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lina[/name_f]
Maybe [name_f]Calla[/name_f] or [name_u]Cali[/name_u]?
[name_m]How[/name_m] about…
[name_f]Lina[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ina[/name_f]
[name_f]Clio[/name_f]
I love [name_u]Caro[/name_u], but since you don’t, what about [name_m]Aro[/name_m]/[name_m]Arrow[/name_m]? Or Oli?
[name_f]Lina[/name_f] - that’s the one I would choose!
[name_f]Lina[/name_f]! (actually sounds really cute, my cousin is named [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]!)
Care
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
What about:
[name_m]Rolly[/name_m] (sounds pretty much like [name_u]Rawley[/name_u])
[name_m]Rolo[/name_m] (like the carmel/chocolate candy!)
Oli – particularly like this one. I actually know a couple Olis.
caroline…
[name_f]My[/name_f] friends sister gets called liner
others…
caz
cara
rolla
[name_f]Carrie[/name_f], [name_f]Cara[/name_f], [name_f]Callie[/name_f], [name_f]Lynne[/name_f], [name_f]Callie[/name_f]-ho, [name_m]Rollie[/name_m] (Raw-leigh), Coriolanus…
This is how we call my cousin’s child
[name_f]Callie[/name_f] is my favourite, a classic short form for it, and one I’ve known several of in the US. [name_f]Callie[/name_f] is just wonderful to me, which is funny because I’m not that into [name_f]Carrie[/name_f].
I’ve met several that went by Caz, too, in Australia, and it’s not as pretty to me but it is spunky.
I really like [name_f]Callie[/name_f]!
[name_f]Callie[/name_f], coco, [name_f]Clio[/name_f]
The spunkiest in my opinion:
[name_f]Callie[/name_f]/[name_u]Cali[/name_u]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_f]Clio[/name_f]
[name_f]Coco[/name_f]
This is an interesting discussion because [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is my name and not for a minute would I have thought of the nn rolla but here I am with the username of rollo! Interesting!
I absolutely love [name_f]Cara[/name_f] as a nn, I get Caz ([name_m]Cas[/name_m]) a lot. I would roll over in my grave if anyone called me [name_f]Carol[/name_f] ugh!
However, there is also the pretty [name_f]Carly[/name_f], sometimes I get [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] but if someone went with [name_f]Lina[/name_f] or [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] I would not like it at all.
To summarise [name_f]Cara[/name_f] and [name_f]Carly[/name_f] would be my top picks and this is quite an emotive rather than objective remark and if I had my time over I would like to correct people who almost immediately fall into calling one by a nickname. What is the problem of saying the full name when invariably it is superior to the nn?
rollo
Caddy was used by [name_m]Charles[/name_m] Dickens I believe. [name_f]Caia[/name_f]/[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is the Scandinavian nickname. Also [name_f]Calla[/name_f], Cazzy, [name_u]Charly[/name_u], [name_f]Lolly[/name_f], and more depending on the middle name: [name_f]Cammy[/name_f] ([name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f]?), Cappy ([name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]), [name_f]Cassy[/name_f] ([name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f])…
I like Caddy. It might seem like a stretch but it is an old nickname for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].
