I know a [name_m]Stanislaw[/name_m], he’s an older Polish fella, sweet, cheeky, fun, funny, handy, nice, caring, friendly, good guy. He’s short and skinny with black hair and blue eyes.

I also know a 16 year old [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] and my oh my is he a handsome boy! He’s a sweetheart. kind, friendly, clever, shy, interesting, good lad. He is tall and skinny with black hair and blue eyes.

How could I forget [name_m]Constantin[/name_m]? I love that one.

The ones I either haven’t heard of or forgot about.

I picture [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] as a kindly accountant who feeds the pigeons, but I am fond of [name_m]Stanislas[/name_m], [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], [name_m]Dunstan[/name_m], and [name_m]Constantin[/name_m].

I don’t have any others but I’ll share in the love for stanhope, stanislav, stanislaw, constantin/konstantin, dustan, and stanroy !!

Thought I could count on you, Wilbury! I wrote the thread this afternoon because suddenly the name Stanroy came into my mind, like the Stanroy pianos. I love names with multiple names in them.

Not sure why but I do vibe with [name_u]Stanley[/name_u], perhaps the -ley suffix. Besides that not the biggest fan of the stan sound. [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] sounds like the name of a disgusting “dreamy” popular boy from a teen drama with disarrayed blonde hair and rich parents to boot. The word stan also has the connotation of stan Twitter in these days which is an unfortunate thing. Also dog with the blog which in retrospect is kind of a weird show. The name [name_m]Stan[/name_m] itself reminds me of baloney. So not the biggest stan fan but I see kind of where you’re coming from.

I love [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] and [name_m]Stan[/name_m] names! [name_f]My[/name_f] grandpa is Polish and his name is [name_m]Stan[/name_m] (or [name_m]Stan[/name_m] something I’m ashamed to say I don’t know his full name :/)

Æthelstan reminds me of all the Æ- names from early [name_u]Britain[/name_u] most notably Æthelred the Unready
