Stana has really grown on me, I really think it’s fresh, uniqe and sounds so… slavic. I’m connected to [name]Russia[/name], Poland and Ukraine, my parents live there and my grand-parents are from there so this name fits my situation. I was thinking of a longer full name as Stana sounds more like a nn so I’ve come up with Stanislava/Stanislawa, I’ve met many Stans and Stanislavs in my life but never a Stanislava and I’m just not sure if it would work for a baby girl. WDYT?
I know a Stana! I never thought I would see this name on a board but it’s really cool that it’s come up! I think it works very well but I never thought of it as a slavic sounding name since the girl I know isn’t slavic, Russian, etc. It’s NMS I have a good association with it and is totally usable
The Stanaslava that I know is called [name]Slava[/name]…with a softer a not like slave.
I think you could do mm Stana for those names tho or you could use
[name]Stefania[/name]
[name]Stephania[/name]
I like Stana, when pronounced like Stah-na.
If I put on my worst American accent, it sounds like something that causes stains…
So it all depends!
My Mother is named Stana. I’ve often considered it as a name because of her. We are in no way slavic or Russian, she was named after a [name_u]Stanley[/name_u]. It is rather unusual so you won’t worry to much about it being unique. I associate it with my mother who is a very composed rather elegant person. I think it’s quite elegant and stately. Stanislava sounds nice. Maybe also consider Stanalana, Stanita, Stanalena, Stanaea, Stanania, ect. I like Stanania because if the person wants they can go by [name_f]Nia[/name_f] in addition to Stana.
