Starts with a "D" and has 5 letters!

I caught up with my best mate today and she is 2 days overdue with her 2nd!

So I have always known that she is having another boy but I managed to wrangle out of her that the name they have chosen starts with a D and has 5 letters. So, berries, what do you think it is?!?

She won’t tell me but I have guessed [name]David[/name] and [name]Damon[/name].

Can YOU think of any other boy names that start with a “D” and have 5 letters. Her older son is [name]Jacob[/name] and last name is [name]Crawford[/name].

So go. And if you win you can have all the glory! And I promise I will come back on here and tell you the winner!!

[name]Drake[/name] is the only name I can think of, but, just going by the name of her first son, I’d guess [name]David[/name].

Yep, I think you’re right lilauburn. I don’t think it could be anything else! She does tend to go for the traditional names. I’ve racked my brain and I can’t think of anything that fits

Anyone else?! Surely there has to be another option apart from [name]David[/name]?!

I’d probably guess
[name]David[/name]
[name]Darcy[/name]
[name]Davis[/name]
[name]Denis[/name]
[name]Dylan[/name]

Other D_ _ _ _ _ names:
[name]Daire[/name]
[name]Daley[/name]
[name]Dallas[/name]
[name]Dante[/name]
[name]Darby[/name]
[name]Delias[/name]
[name]Dixon[/name]
[name]Diesel[/name]
[name]Dolan[/name]
[name]Dover[/name]
[name]Doyle[/name]
[name]Draco[/name]
[name]Dugan[/name]

Decon? But that’s an odd spelling.
[name]Damon[/name]
[name]Dante[/name]
[name]Darcy[/name]
[name]Derek[/name]
[name]Devin[/name]
[name]Dylan[/name]

I think [name]David[/name] is a good guess, but if she is into more modern names and might choose something unisex, I could see [name]Dylan[/name] or [name]Devin[/name] being the one.

could be [name]Davyd[/name] - another spelling of [name]David[/name].

Let us know the name when baby’s born.

[name]Dylan[/name] would be my guess. It seems suited for a brother of [name]Jacob[/name].

Oh yes, [name]Dylan[/name] is an excellent guess!! That’s quite her style too I think. Still no baby yet!!!

Oh I didn’t even think of [name]Darcy[/name]. I have another friend who has a 22mth old [name]Darcy[/name] and It very much suits him. My BF is not friends with this girl so she wouldn’t make a link. [name]Darcy[/name] would be lovely if she chose that one.

Otherwise yes, [name]Dante[/name] or [name]Dylan[/name].

See I knew you Berries would think of more D---- names for me!

[name]How[/name] did you come up with so many to me?! When I guessed I though of only two! I could have bombarded her with my [name]Berry[/name] knowledge if I was you. Still no baby as of this morning but will definitely let you know her choice!

It she was more adventurous I would guess [name]Doyle[/name] or [name]Dyson[/name], but it is probably [name]Dylan[/name]. [name]Dylan[/name] goes well with [name]Jacob[/name].

[name]Dylan[/name] was the first name to come to mind before I read your post.

There’s [name]Dayne[/name]

I think [name]Damon[/name], [name]Dayne[/name] and names of that rhyme would be out as her hubby’s name is [name]Damien[/name] and I think they would be too similar sounding fo her taste. But you never know…

Still no sign of this over-cooked bub yet!!

ooooo…I hope she doesn’t go [name]Dyson[/name]. I’m not sure in the States, but here in Aus, [name]Dyson[/name] is a well known and highly popular vacuum (I think you guys call it a [name]Hoover[/name]…  ). So the teasing would be great I think!

My first thought was [name]Derek[/name]. It’s on my own favorites list.
I also think [name]Dylan[/name] could work.
[name]Drake[/name] and [name]Doyle[/name] were ones I didn’t guess.
[name]Davey[/name]
[name]Davis[/name] (my cousin named her son this)
Deter

Until I read it was a boy my other guesses were:
[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Daria[/name]
[name]Darcy[/name]

Lived in the USA my whole life. [name]Dyson[/name] is also a well known vacuum company here (very upscale) I call a Vacuum a vacuum or vacuum cleaner. I have never said [name]Hoover[/name] in my whole life. It might be a regional thing. (I live in the northeast) Either that or it’s an era thing, in the fifties I think hoover dominated the market earlier on. Anyway I wouldn’t name my kid after a vacuum cleaner. Oh well. probably not the name.

You know what…I think [name]Hoover[/name] might be an English saying as opposed to in the US. But yeah, [name]Dyson[/name], probably off the list. I don’t think I would want to be associated with a vacuum
