My husband and I are expecting a little boy soon and we have been thinking about naming him [name_u]Steele[/name_u]. What do you guys think of the name?

I think it sounds faintly superhero and stirs up a macho-man image for me. It sounds tough, like biker tough. I’m not really sure whether that’s good or not.
But if you like it, go ahead! No one’s stopping you.

[name_u]Steele[/name_u] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] is okay, but [name_u]Steele[/name_u] [name_m]Jaxson[/name_m] sounds way too tough and biker dude. Unless that’s what you’re going for. Sorry to be so brutal to your name 
I really like the energy of [name_u]Steele[/name_u], but I think naming a boy that might be putting him into a category he may not be fit for. Kind of what people already mentioned, it’s very manly, tough and biker-ish. If that’s what you’re going for then [name_u]Steele[/name_u] is perfect, but for me it’s a little too narrow of a name. (I don’t know if that makes sense, but I tried to describe what I mean!!)
I do like [name_u]Steele[/name_u] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] more then [name_u]Steele[/name_u] [name_m]Jaxson[/name_m] tho.
What about using [name_u]Steele[/name_u] as a middle? Then you still get the coolness of the name in there but have a more versatile first name… just a thought.

I actually kinda like [name_u]Steele[/name_u]! However I agree with the above poster that you should pair it with a softer middle name 
I like [name_u]Steele[/name_u] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] better than [name_u]Steel[/name_u] [name_m]Jaxson[/name_m]. I think I would like it more in the middle though, [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] [name_u]Steele[/name_u] sounds the best [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
Like everyone else, I think [name_u]Steele[/name_u] would benefit from a more genteel-sounding mn. If you have any interest in suggestions, I’m sure several people would be happy to oblige!
I know two med named [name_u]Steele[/name_u], both in their 60s. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are wonderful and they love their name! I say go for it. I would use [name_u]Steele[/name_u] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] though; [name_m]Jaxson[/name_m] is just too trendy for my taste.
I am definitely up for suggestions! We tend to lean more towards western/cowboy type names. We had pictured [name_u]Steele[/name_u] in that category but I can see how it can be biker sounding.

I know a [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] in his 60s and his name is so awesome, it’s on my list (it even violates some of my personally-imposed ‘naming rules’ and still makes it on my list). You could get the (related but different) nickname of [name_u]Steele[/name_u] that way too.
I think in life, [name_u]Steele[/name_u] might be misheard as “steal” which isn’t a great word association. It is also, as others have said, quite narrow of a name. Hard to see many different personalities owning ‘[name_u]Steele[/name_u].’
You might also get people asking if you’re Pittsburgh Steelers fans (and thinking they’re soooo original for saying that)
