Too close to be sisters? What I love most about this pairing is their meanings. [name]Stella[/name] means “star” and [name]Selena[/name] means “moon goddess”
I think they would be fine together although they are matchy. [name]Stella[/name] and [name]Selene[/name] might sound better though. It might make an additional sister left out that she didn’t have a name with theme.
I worried they were too matchy… But I don’t like [name]Selene[/name] or [name]Celine[/name]. Darn.
Another possibility could be [name]Selena[/name] as a mn for the 2nd daughter so they still have the star/moon connection.
also love [name]Josephine[/name], nn [name]Josie[/name] as a sib for [name]Stella[/name]. [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Selena[/name]? Eh not sure about that combo
And I had also thought of othe rcelestial siblings feeling left out. I thought of [name]Eliana[/name] and [name]Marisol[/name] both meaning “sun”. [name]Celia[/name] and [name]Celeste[/name] meaning [name]Heaven[/name]… Cheesy, but totally hypothetical. No ideas for a boy though.
My middle name is [name]Celina[/name] and I love it! I also like the [name]Selena[/name] spelling. I think [name]Stella[/name] and [name]Selena[/name] are fine together. [name]Selena[/name] and [name]Marisol[/name] or [name]Selena[/name] and [name]Eliana[/name] are great together too!
I love the connected meanings, but the common S-, -el-, -a is too close. You’ll be messing up the names alllllllllll the time.
[name]Estelle[/name] and [name]Selena[/name] would be better.
I’m not a fan of [name]Selena[/name] as a name but also I think it would be too matchy matchy with sister [name]Stella[/name], my uncle’s three daughter’s middle names mean sun, heaven and star it’s a sweet little connection the girls share
I’d much prefer [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Selene[/name] nn [name]Josie[/name] and maybe if you wanted to [name]Estella[/name]/[name]Estelle[/name] ______ nn [name]Stella[/name]
I think [name]Stella[/name] and [name]Serena[/name] would go better together so they do not share an “L…” I personally love the name [name]Danica[/name] with [name]Stella[/name] because [name]Danica[/name] means “morning star” so it would make a perfect sib set!
Too close in my opinion. I would go for: [name]Stella[/name] “star” and [name]Danica[/name] “morning star”
I don’t think they are too close to for sisters. Ideal for twins though! Unless you’re going to have 3 girls… then you have to think ahead, what would the third be called??
Instead of [name]Stella[/name], you could maybe use [name]Estelle[/name] or [name]Esther[/name]/[name]Hester[/name].
Or maybe… [name]Danica[/name] (morning star) + [name]Vespera[/name] (evening star)
I wouldn’t worry about getting the names mixed up if they sound similar! My son’s name is [name]Luther[/name] and my dog is [name]Shadow[/name]. They are quite different, yet I still manage to get their names mixed up all the time.
[name]Love[/name] the suggestion of [name]Danica[/name]!
