[name_m]Stellan[/name_m] is our current top (and thus far our only) contender if we are having a boy. We’d like to honor my husband’s mother’s side and use her maiden name, Trevett, as a middle name. Our last name sounds like the letters C.V. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that it is “too much” name?
What are the general thoughts on [name_m]Stellan[/name_m]?
I am personally not a fan… it just sounds like someone meant to say [name_f]Stella[/name_f] then added an “n” to me. Probably because [name_f]Stella[/name_f] is so popular and [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] isn’t. [name_m]Stephan[/name_m], maybe?
I personally love the name [name_m]Stellan[/name_m], very masculine and matches with the -n ending of your other boy’s names (well most of them). [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] Trevett C.V sounds pretty good too, you could argue the two-syllable for each name is a little choppy, but it’s not really a deal-breaker.
I love [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] but struggle to say [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] Trevett C.V. My tongue trips on the t’s. That being said, [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] C.V. is great. (and I could be the only one with this issue)
I think [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] is a great name. Gentle but with an edge. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the meaning ‘calm’, especially for a little boy
Three 2-syllable names can be choppy, but I think it’s more important to use the name you love with the family names that are important to you. Good luck!
I love the name [name_m]Stellan[/name_m]! It’s one of the few boy’s names I’m really wild about. It fits in well with the trend of -en, -an boy names ([name_u]Hayden[/name_u], [name_u]Jayden[/name_u] etc.) while being unusual and charming. I just really adore the it and I think others will too! I also think it works well with your last name. When it comes to the middle name, based purely on the aesthetics, Trevett wouldn’t be my first choice. It is a little choppy with the rest of the name. However, name decisions are based off more than just how the name sounds. If the connection to the middle name is really important to you, I say use it! Having a middle with an important story or family connection behind it is often cooler than having a random middle name that was chosen just because it sounds good.
I love [name_m]Stellan[/name_m]! It’s unusual where I live but familiar because of the Swedish actor [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] Skarsgård. I think [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] Trevett is a good choice!
I like [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] quite a lot! I think it fits in well with [name_m]Ethan[/name_m], [name_u]Aidan[/name_u], [name_m]Julian[/name_m], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], and [name_m]Silas[/name_m], too. I don’t think it sounds bad with C. V.–[name_m]Silas[/name_m] CV is more “S” heavy, so if you love [name_m]Stellan[/name_m], I would go for it! It’s a brilliant name. I don’t even think [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] Trevett CV is bad, honestly. Plus, I think family meaning trumps some slight flow issues. I definitely don’t think it’s too much name.
