My first son’s full name is Sterling Evan Robert Hudson. He is 16 months. I like to pair strong uncommon first names with more common middle names. Middle name will most likely have some family meaning. At least one will.
For his brother, some of my favorites are:
Leo <3 <3
Landry <3
Fletcher <3
Kingsley
Arthur
Thatcher
Chandler
Morgan
Mccoy
Sullivan (Sully)
Harmon
Potential middle names:
Ian
Fisher
Clark
Paul
Ray
David
Stephen
What’s your favorite?
As you can tell, I like some semi-unconventional names, but I need suggestions. I would like to stay with the double middle name pattern.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Happy naming (:
I know teen brothers named [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] and [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]. It’s one of my favorite known sib sets!
From your list, I love [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] the best. Pretty much perfect!
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] is gorgeous, but can’t keep pace with unconventional [name_u]Sterling[/name_u], in my opinion.
Have you considered
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] ([name_m]Finnegan[/name_m], [name_u]Finley[/name_u], Phinaeus)
I love the idea of [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] and [name_m]Clark[/name_m] as brothers. [name_m]Both[/name_m] have a crisp, clean sound and are rarely heard. [name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] sounds great too. I wish I could like [name_m]Leo[/name_m], but it’s not a name that’s ever clicked with me unfortunately. Let’s see…
I have heard flynn but it just reminds me of phlegm lol. For me it is important to have more common middle names to help balance sich strong uncommon first names. ie. [name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m]. [name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] is looking like a good choice for my second child’s middle names. We have actually chosen to keep the sex a secret, but the girls name is set in stone…at least her first name anyway…if she is a she.
[name_f]My[/name_f] only issues with leo is [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] doesn’t sound good. It would need a longer name somewhere to break up the choppiness.
I like [name_m]Clark[/name_m], [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] best with [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]. I would not use [name_u]Sully[/name_u] because it will remind kids of the green-and-purple monster from the cartoon.
[name_m]Clark[/name_m] Atrhur [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]
[name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] is one of my ‘crushes’ at the moment, so I’ll probably pick that name. Also, I think that [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] and [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] would make a very handsome sibset. I like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] a lot too.
Thanks. I thinks [name_m]Leo[/name_m] is my favorite but it may change. I just cant find a middle name I like…it needs to be longer since [name_m]Leo[/name_m] is one syllable
