-too unique or celebrity? - I love unique names, so I wouldnât let that stop you. One of my daughters is [name_u]Raven[/name_u]. Someone will occasionally mention Thatâs so [name_u]Raven[/name_u] or Raven-SymonĂ©, but itâs not common enough to be a nuisance.
-unprofessional? - I once briefly encountered a [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] working in a corporate office building. Granted the company was very âhipâ and whatnot, but she didnât seem to stand out in any kind of negative way. There was another girl in that area of the building named [name_u]Auburn[/name_u]. I think this is less and less of a concern these days with kids getting all kinds of interesting names.
-too different from other favorite names to fit with siblings? - I love [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] and [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] together! [name_u]Super[/name_u] cute!
-the possibility she will not like her name and wish it was something else/ more classic? - I have 3 kids and they all went through phases of not liking their names early on (around 4ish). Theyâre 13, 10 and 7 now and love their names and none of them are classic.
-difficulty at school when learning the days of the the week or possibly being made fun of. - Here again, I think unusual names are so common now that kids wonât even think about it. And my niece, [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], was teased with So-pee-a. Kids will find anything to tease about even with a common name. [name_f]My[/name_f] own son told me my name sounds like âcatheterâ. If she is teased it would be brief I think. As for learning the days of the week, it might be briefly confusing, but more likely sheâll think itâs cool at that age.
-negative opinions from family and friends (because names are typically more traditional in our family, and I want my loved ones to like the name as much as I do!) - you canât make people love a name. [name_f]My[/name_f] parents hated my sonâs first name before he was born. [name_f]My[/name_f] dad swore heâd call him âBenâ. Iâve never once heard him call him âBenâ. [name_f]My[/name_f] in-laws hated my daughtersâ names. They love the kids attached to them now though, so it no longer matters. Use what you love. Family will adjust.
[name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous! And I love the simplicity of [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]. She feels much more down to earth, cottagey, and cotton dresses.
