Recently I’ve been planning to write a fantasy story, dark-themed (sort of), surrounding the fae. [name_f]My[/name_f] biggest struggle when writing is naming my characters, so I was hoping some of you guys would be a big help and give me some names.

A good place to start would probably to ask what aspect of the name you want to portray the “darkness” (that sounded way more dramatic than I thought it would).
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you really care about meanings? Try searching up names with meanings like “night”, “dark”, or “shadow”. Names like [name_f]Melanie[/name_f], for example.
Then there are others that just feels dark. For me, these are names like [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f], [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f], and [name_u]Nyx[/name_u] (which coincidentally is also the goddess of the night in Greek mythology)
Then there are names that are as literal as you can get. Names like Omen, [name_u]Shadow[/name_u], Cosmos (maybe?). Many of these can possibly be used as aliases though.

Lux/Lucia/Lucian “light”

I thought that meaning was especially intriguing
