"Story" Names?

Hello Berries!

I’m trying to think of names that are associated with or mean “story”. So far all I’ve got is the obvious [name]Story[/name] and GGC’s [name]Fable[/name]. Can you come up with any others? Word names? Words that mean story in other languages? Thank you!

[name]Novella[/name] comes to mind.

Did a little google translate… [name]Tarina[/name] is Finnish for “story” (apparently).

I’ve heard of [name]Story[/name] itself used as a name or as a nickname for [name]Astoria[/name]. From there, it depends on how close you want the meaning to be to “story.” [name]Journey[/name] is sometimes used as a name. [name]Isra[/name] is an Arabic name meaning “night journey.” [name]Saga[/name] is a Swedish name probably meaning “seeing one,” though of course it’s also an English word meaning, essentially, “story.” There’s also names with nods to writers- [name]Quill[/name] and [name]Pen[/name], for example, though those seem a bit more appropriate for boys. I’ve heard of [name]Poet[/name] and [name]Sonnet[/name] as names as well. There are lots of Greek muses to choose from, like [name]Clio[/name] (history,) and [name]Thalia[/name] (comedy.) Perhaps even [name]Muse[/name] or [name]Musetta[/name] itself. [name]Francis[/name] ([name]Frances[/name]) and [name]Teresa[/name] are the patron saints of writers.

What about Prose? I’ve never heard it as a name, but I think it’s pretty.

Some ideas:

[name]Saga[/name] (story)-Swedish
Satu (fairytale)-Finnish
Teiksma (fable; legend)-Latvian
Valmi (fable)-Estonian

[name]Penn[/name]?

Rawya / Rawiya (fem. Arabic - storytelller)

[name]Tarina[/name], Prose and Satu are all interesting. Never would have thought of Prose.

I love the idea of Prose! Another that comes to mind is the Irish Sceal, pronounced like “scale”. Its the Irish word for story.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Saga[/name], that was my first suggestion, and I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Fable[/name] and [name]Story[/name].

Some of these might be too out there…
(all of these mean story, fable, saga, or something similar)

I love [name]Poesy[/name]! And I’ve always had a guilty pleasure for Polyhymnia, though I wouldn’t use it. On those same lines, I like Homily a lot, too, but I’m not religious.

I know a teenage girl named Passage. [name]Sonnet[/name] could also apply…

I am absolutely head over heels in love with [name]Boheme[/name] at the moment, but for you, what about Poeme?

I know a guy who named his daughter [name]Lyric[/name]. very cute!
