Most of the word or nature names I can think of for girls are fairly passive - jewels or flowers proliferate. I’m trying to think of names that are not aggressive necessarily but certainly active.
I have sons named [name_u]Harley[/name_u] [name_m]Bruce[/name_m] and [name_m]Fox[/name_m] [name_m]Palmer[/name_m], and I would like an equally strong girls name. We had thought [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Winnifred[/name_f] or [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] but now I’m not so sure.
Her middle name would be a family name so either [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], Austia or [name_f]Olive[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite nature names for girls at the moment is [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f], simple, pretty and appropriate for a child and adult
Well, I admit I like a lot of flower names and a couple gemstone names. I find some flower names sweeter/stronger than others. [name_f]Briar[/name_f] seems kinda wild and tough to me (in a good way, I like [name_f]Briar[/name_f] as a name and a flower) in a way that, say, [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] doesn’t.
Kestrel - a slim bird of prey. Kestrel [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is kind of amazing.
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] - not particularly FIERCE, but certainly lively, active little birds.
[name_f]Calico[/name_f] - The cats have a lot of legends up to including prophetic powers. I don’t know how you’d feel about a name like this though. I like it but it’s a bit of a guilty pleasure.
[name_f]Leona[/name_f], [name_f]Leontine[/name_f] - A cat name with a more classical quality. [name_f]Livia[/name_f] also means ‘lioness’ in Hebrew.
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f], [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f], [name_f]Ayala[/name_f] - do these sorts count? I like the imagery of leaping gazelle, kinda [name_m]Art[/name_m] Deco and graceful. Impala would be literal… but also pretty offbeat.
I am quite fond of [name_u]Winter[/name_u] or [name_u]Rain[/name_u] but I don’t know if they count as active?

[name_u]Echo[/name_u]
[name_f]Zinnia[/name_f]
[name_f]Azalea[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] - Works as a fn as well!
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f]

[name_u]Ever[/name_u]
[name_u]Lyric[/name_u]
[name_f]Holiday[/name_f]
Loveday

I love your naming style! And how did you luck out with such good family names!? So I like the suggestions of [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. I also love the name [name_f]Opal[/name_f] and think it goes great with your boys names.
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] (evening) or [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (the dawn) are both lovely and fairly active. Also names relating to the sea, like [name_f]Oceane[/name_f], [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f], [name_f]Thalassa[/name_f], or [name_f]Ondine[/name_f].
To me, [name_u]Harley[/name_u] and [name_m]Fox[/name_m] are strong edgy names (Great names by the way) while [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] sound very soft and delicate.
Austia is beautiful. Very unique, a family name with meaning as well makes it that much more special. Would be nice as first or middle name. Goes well with [name_u]Harley[/name_u] and [name_m]Fox[/name_m].
Some names I can think of that are word or nature inspired
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] (apparently on the rise)
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] (goes well with Austia)
[name_u]Lyric[/name_u]
[name_f]Coral[/name_f]
[name_u]Lane/name_u
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
More common names like [name_f]Summer[/name_f], [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f],
I think it was [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] [name_m]Richie[/name_m] named one of her children [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f]
Good luck in your search!
Some of these are repeats, but these are strong sounding to me:
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_u]River[/name_u] (I know it tends towards boys, but I’d love it on a girl)
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
I actually love [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. One reason, besides it is so pretty, is that I shorten it to [name_u]Peri[/name_u]. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] would be ok, but what about [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] Daphnia?
[name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_f]Fawn[/name_f]
[name_f]Dawn[/name_f]
[name_f]Aura[/name_f]
[name_f]Jewel[/name_f]
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] ( resembling a butterfly / type of butterfly species )
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f]
I really like [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Faith[/name_f] and [name_f]Joy[/name_f] for what you are describing. There is something so gentle about these word names, jet they represent some of the most powerful forces in the world. To me there is no way that any of these could every be perceived as passive, they are quiet, strong, and all encompassing - even when you don’t know that they are moving they are enveloping, transformed everything about and around you. (You can also add [name_f]Jubilee[/name_f] and [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] to that list).
Ohh I like your naming style…I think [name_u]Harley[/name_u] [name_m]Bruce[/name_m] and [name_m]Fox[/name_m] [name_m]Palmer[/name_m] would sound nice with…
