[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
What do you think of the name [name_m]Stuart[/name_m]? Not that I’m considering naming a boy [name_m]Stuart[/name_m], just interested in what the general opinion on this name is:)
Thanks!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!

What do you guys think?
I’ve always loved the name and its Scottish connection. I also like the alternate spelling [name_m]Stewart[/name_m] although almost everyone I’ve mentioned this to thinks immediately of Stewie from Family [name_m]Guy[/name_m] which is not a connection I like!
I hate it. It’s my father’s name.
It’s slowly grown on me. When I was a kid I thought of it as a very old mannish name, but I’ve met two or three Stuarts in my generation now and I’m much more open to it. I like [name_m]Stu[/name_m] as a nickname more than [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] as a full name. I often think of [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] as the first name spelling and [name_m]Stewart[/name_m] as the surname spelling (even though I know those aren’t always the case).
It makes me think of [name_m]Stewart[/name_m] [name_m]Little[/name_m] (the mouse from the Children’s book.)
It is cute and I like it better spelt “[name_m]Stuart[/name_m]”… but I hate the nickname “[name_m]Stew[/name_m]”.
[name_m]Stuart[/name_m] isn’t my style, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.
It makes me think of [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] [name_m]Little[/name_m] as well (I’m not fully sure on what spelling is used in that case though). It also reminds me of the dad on Rugrats ([name_m]Stu[/name_m]- I don’t like the nickname). I don’t know, I just can’t really find any love for this name in myself but it isn’t all that bad. Me personally, one reason I wouldn’t use it is the nickname situation. I already said I don’t like [name_m]Stu[/name_m] but I really don’t like Stewie, which would sound cute if it wasn’t the name of that Family [name_m]Guy[/name_m] baby.
I rather like [name_m]Stuart[/name_m]. It’s a good solid name without any gimmicks
I love it. It’s my father’s name.
I really like [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] (prefer this spelling) but like some others have said, strongly dislike [name_m]Stu[/name_m] and Stewie.
Thanks for all the responses:)
It’s a ‘dad name’ to me. Nothing wrong with it, but I’d make assumptions about the age of a [name_m]Stuart[/name_m], if that makes sense.
