Stuck between two names. Help!!!!

I am stuck between two boys names. The first being [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Glenn[/name_u]. The second is [name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_m]Richardson[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u].
After having 3 boys previously I have a sense of what I like. but I will admit, one of these names are mine and one is my husbands. haha.

Edited

I love [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]…not [name_u]Glenn[/name_u] (unless it’s an honor name of a very deserving person)…Perhaps [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_m]Richardson[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]? [name_u]Kit[/name_u] sounds a bit cartoonish, but not terrible.

Neither of them hold up as first names for my personal taste. I do like [name_u]Kit[/name_u] - for a nn of something longer ([name_m]Christopher[/name_m]). [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] is cute - for a little boy. Unfortunately, the sound of it rhymes with a bad word and it sounds so childish that I don’t think it would age well.

Since you like them and haven’t told us your older boys names, I’ll give you this advice.

If your other boys have surnames or occupational names…choose [name_m]Tucker[/name_m].

If your other boys have “nicknames for first names”…choose [name_u]Kit[/name_u] (I think this is the better option if I had to pick).

  1. I second the suggestion of [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_m]Richardson[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]… it sounds good, and also includes names from both of your choices…so it’s not like his name choice and my name choice, it’s sort of a compromise… sidenote: I agree with everything mischa said.

  2. [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Glenn[/name_u]: I like [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], but not [name_u]Glenn[/name_u] as far as the…ergh…similar sounding words of [name_m]Tucker[/name_m], I would first make sure your other kids can say it correctly, depending on how old they are. When we got our kitten, my mom wouldn’t let us name him [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] until she asked my then 5-year-old, live-in niece to say it. Once she heard that she could say [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] without it sounding like another word, she let us name him.

  3. [name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_m]Richardson[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]: [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is the name of one of the American Girl Dolls, which I owned, so I can’t shake that image out of my head  sorry!

From the two choices you gave, as they are, I’d have to side with [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Glenn[/name_u].

Thank you for all the input! My sons names are [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Richard[/name_m], [name_m]Davian[/name_m] [name_m]Duke[/name_m], and [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] [name_m]Luke[/name_m]. [name_u]Glenn[/name_u], [name_m]Richard[/name_m], and [name_u]James[/name_u] are all family names.

I like [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] and [name_u]Kit[/name_u] equally.
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] reminds me of that kid from “Degrassi”, “Life with [name_m]Derek[/name_m]” a couple years back, so it is a legitimate boy name.

[name_u]Kit[/name_u] is a little too much for me as a first name… so I’d go for [name_m]Tucker[/name_m]

I think I’m leaning towards [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Glenn[/name_u]…but mostly because I don’t like [name_m]Richardson[/name_m]. [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is just as nice as [name_m]Tucker[/name_m].

[name_u]Kit[/name_u] is an excellent nn of the classic [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]… I am Australian so I don’t understand [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] as a name (‘tucker’ is slang for food, which may compound my resistance to it).

I personally like [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. Its unique, yet not too uncommon.

Everyone named [name_u]Kit[/name_u] I know is female, and all but one is a nickname for something else (mostly Katherines). It’s also unisex, when none of your other boys are. [name_m]Richardson[/name_m] is all surname to me - it doesn’t sound at all like a first or middle name, plus it’s essentially a mesh of your older son [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Richard[/name_m]'s name.
I know one [name_m]Tucker[/name_m], and yes, his name has been unfortunately rhymed with other words beginning with an F. I dislike [name_u]Glenn[/name_u], but [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] is so gallant and charming. Would [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_m]Richardson[/name_m] be a possibility?

[name_m]Tucker[/name_m] is fine, rather trendy and not terribly distinctive. [name_u]Kit[/name_u], on the other hand, is fabulous. Short, spritely, and absolutely perfect with [name_m]Richardson[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_f]Love[/name_f] it!

[name_m]Tucker[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Glenn[/name_u] is my favorite of the two.

[name_u]Kit[/name_u] is all girl. There is even an American Girl doll named [name_u]Kit[/name_u]…I think. [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] is nice in theory, but rhyming with the F bomb is a big negative. [name_m]How[/name_m] about instead:

[name_m]Tanner[/name_m]
[name_m]Travis[/name_m]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Tate[/name_u]
[name_m]Colt[/name_m]
[name_m]Cooper[/name_m]
