First baby girl and need a C name! Both grandmas are C names so I just love that idea. Middle name either [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_u]Marie[/name_u]. I think I’ve been through the basic lists as we’ve been at this a while. What do we think of these lesser knowns/different spellings?-
[name_f]Calia[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]
Cayna [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Cayley[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]
[name_f]Cayla[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
Caria [name_u]Marie[/name_u]
Any hits? [name_u]Or[/name_u] other unusual ideas perhaps to inspire? HELP
I’m not a fan of the y’s in Cayna, [name_f]Cayley[/name_f], and [name_f]Cayla[/name_f]. Since [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is so close to [name_u]Maria[/name_u], and Caria is one letter off of [name_u]Maria[/name_u], I don’t think Caria [name_u]Marie[/name_u] works. I like [name_f]Calia[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] the most.
A few random suggestions:
[name_f]Callista[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_m]Collin[/name_m]
Calia [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is probably my favourite from your list! I agree that Caria [name_u]Marie[/name_u] feels slightly too similar.
Im not really fond of Cayna, [name_f]Cayley[/name_f], or [name_f]Cayla[/name_f]. I much prefer those names to be spelt with a ‘K’.
For other suggestions:
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_u]Carmen[/name_u]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
[name_f]Camila[/name_f]
[name_f]Catarina[/name_f]
[name_f]Caitriona[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosima[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarabelle[/name_f]/Clarabel
[name_f]Chanel[/name_f]
[name_f]Celine[/name_f]
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
Cleo is cute! Is it too “young” though? That and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] were on my list awhile but then I kept seeing cats named them as well😡. Maybe I’ll have to circle back…
Yes I thought [name_f]Calla[/name_f] was a beautiful fit with your list!
I definitely don’t think [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] is too young! I can picture it on a bright, compassionate, intelligent, kind, and capable adult. It might feel quite ‘young’ since you don’t meet too many adult [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]’s, but it is a rather unique name to begin with!
Also, oops! I didnt think of calamari, I think [name_u]Marie[/name_u] sounds quite different to the ‘-mari’ so it doesn’t bother me too much. If it bothers you though, [name_f]Calla[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is super beautiful!
I love the idea of using a “C” name as a lovely little connection to your grandmas! [name_f]Calia[/name_f], [name_f]Cayley[/name_f], and Caria are sweet. Other “C” name ideas (avoiding top 100)…
Caria is beautiful! I’d put it with Mae, that’s just personal preference for how it sounds.
Some other rarer C names (not heard often where I am, at least)…
In the same vein as your picks I like:
[name_f]Callie[/name_f] ([name_f]Calliope[/name_f] if you want a formal version)
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
I tend to steer away from alternative spellings.
Other favorite C names:
[name_m]Cassius[/name_m] nn [name_m]Cash[/name_m] (yes, for a girl!)
[name_f]Colette[/name_f]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_u]Collins[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Corinne[/name_f] ([name_u]Corey[/name_u])
[name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] ([name_u]Corey[/name_u])
I’m also a die hard [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] fan. SO fun and gorgeous but SO popular.
I like Caria. Other C names for you:
