What are your favourite M girls names? I would love to find one because I really like the idea of alliteration with our ln Mac_immie. Our style is old-fashioned with a modern feel and good nickname potential.
Ones we have liked so far are:

[name_f]Meadow[/name_f] - Like but doesn’t really have a good nn. Too hippy?
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] - My fave, short and sweet but DH doesn’t love.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] - We like nn [name_u]Mattie[/name_u] and [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]. More popular but not too much in [name_f]Canada[/name_f].
I was going to say [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] as it’s my favourite but you’ve already got it [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is another I like, and [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is interesting (I’ve just finished Downton [name_u]Abbey[/name_u]… not sure if I’d heard it before that).

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f], we considered it for our girl. Its such a lovely sound and imagery. To me I don’t see if any more hippy than [name_f]Willow[/name_f] which is very popular.

My favorite out of the names you listed is [name_f]Meadow[/name_f]!! I don’t think it’s too “hippie,” I love the vibe. No, there aren’t any super obvious nicknames but would you consider something like [name_f]Mimi[/name_f], [name_m]Moe[/name_m], or even [name_f]Mae[/name_f], or an unrelated nickname like [name_f]Bunny[/name_f]?
I love love [name_f]Meadow[/name_f]! It was on my list for my daughter and some nicknames I found that I thought might work for it were ‘[name_f]Mea[/name_f]’ prn. like [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. Also ‘M’ just like ‘[name_f]Em[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmie[/name_f]’!
