Sullivan (Sully)- How do you picture him?

Jovial and approachable? or too academic?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I picture neither, I see a husky, quiet brooding type. :stuck_out_tongue:

I picture him as handsomely scruffy, because I used to know a guy whose nn was [name]Sully[/name] ([name]Sullivan[/name] was actually his last name).

I actually like it a lot!

[name]Sully[/name]: I see a smart-alecky kid who would grow into a smart-a** adult. A partier. As an adult, a guy who either never grew up and stopped partying, or a really pompous, but successful businessman.

Weirdly, I feel this way only about the nn [name]Sully[/name]. [name]Sullivan[/name] is not my style, but I like it just fine. [name]Sully[/name], on the other hand, I seem to have negative connotations with.

I love [name]Sullivan[/name]! And [name]Sully[/name] is pretty cute. I picture a somewhat academic guy, but very down-to-earth, approachable, fun. I think he’d make a great dad one day, but just really fun to be around. Maybe a bit shy, too, but still genuinely likeable and not socially awkward at all.

Good luck!

That’s my boyfriend’s name. He has a short attention span, is always busy, has a million friends and talks to everyone, and works hard.

Obviously this isn’t the place to post this but I am new to the site and cannot figure out how tostart a post? Help please

Furry. Mostly because of the character [name]Sully[/name] ([name]James[/name] P. [name]Sullivan[/name]) in Pixar’s Monsters Inc. And because my sister named her boxer, who has the same jawline, after that [name]Sully[/name].
My point is that I’d be wary about naming a baby the same thing as a popular kids’ movie character. ([name]Sully[/name] is reappearing in Monster University, out next year.)

I can only picture Monster’s Inc and the lead singer of Godsmack… Monster’s Inc 2 is coming out soon, not sure you want to do that to a kid.

I only have personal connections with three [name]Sully[/name]'s. [name]One[/name] is Sullly from the movie Monsters Inc. [name]One[/name] is my aunt and uncle’s huge golden retriever, [name]Sullivan[/name] “[name]Sully[/name].” The other is my friend’s boyfriend, whose name is [name]Tim[/name] [name]Sullivan[/name] but went by [name]Sully[/name] in high school. When I think of the name, however, I picture a [name]Sullivan[/name] as a quiet, geeky kid, and a [name]Sully[/name] as an obnoxious frat/party boy.

[name]Sully[/name] reminds me of the Character from Dr [name]Quinn[/name] Medicine Woman first and foremost it makes me think of an outdoorsy, athletic kind of guy.

I like it!

[name]Sullivan[/name] is a cute blond haired blue eyed boy with a twinkle in his eye!

I would picture him an all around kind of guy too. I love the name. This name has been on my list since before my first was born almost 18 years ago. I love love love it!

No offense, [name]Sullivan[/name] nn [name]Sully[/name] makes me think of the character in Pixar’s Monster’s Inc. He’s a good character and all, but that’s what comes to my mind. I’ve never heard the name anywhere else.

The first thing that crosses my mind when I hear [name]Sully[/name] is Monsters, Inc. The Sullivans I know [name]IRL[/name] are both little girls under the age of 5.

My thoughts exactly!

I think of Monster’s Inc. But if you love it then go for it. :).

I barely think of Monsters, Inc. which is actually a good association.

When I think of a human [name]Sully[/name], I agree with another poster who talked about it being the name of a scruffy yet handsome intellectual.

I think the godsmack Singer may have influenced my opinion but I see dark hair, for sure. Maybe pale, blue eyes. Confident but reserved.

My thoughts exactly
