My mother’s maiden name was [name_m]Dominick[/name_m], which means “[name_f]Sunday[/name_f]” in Catalan ([name_u]Ellis[/name_u] Island officers “fixed” the spelling). If we have a boy, that will be his MN, but I don’t like it for a girl. What do you think of [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] as a MN for a girl? Any other ways to honor [name_m]Dominick[/name_m] you can think of? First name [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] …
There’s three pages of names with the same meaning there. You could also try using [name_u]Dominique[/name_u] instead of [name_m]Dominick[/name_m].
There’s also the option of using a name that starts with D ([name_m]Dominick[/name_m]) or V ([name_f]Victoria[/name_f]) or that contains a combination of any of the letters contained in those names.
That would make [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f], for example, an honor name for [name_m]Dominick[/name_m] because of the last four letters. The same could be said for [name_f]Tori[/name_f] or Torianna since [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] has [name_f]Tori[/name_f] built right in.
Whew! Sorry for the super long post, just trying to be helpful, haha =] I hope it does help.
I think [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] is lovely. If not you could also think about [name_f]Domenica[/name_f] (Italian version of [name_u]Dominique[/name_u], I think it’s much prettier) or even [name_u]Domino[/name_u]? I’ve loved [name_u]Domino[/name_u] as a name ever since I saw that [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Bond[/name_m] film where his love interest is called [name_u]Domino[/name_u] (short for [name_f]Domenica[/name_f] I think). [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_u]Domino[/name_u] could be really sweet.
