WDYT of [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]? I’m religious, but if you’re not, is the meaning/symbolism too much?
I like [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] as a name. I don’t think it would be taken as a really religious name by most people, but if you enjoy the symbolism, that’s just another reason to like it.
It’s a day of the week. I don’t care for it as a proper name, and I don’t relate it to religion.
There’s no real symbolism / meaning behind the name for me.
I do find weekdays as names to be complicated though as they’re used so often in everyday conversations.
Sorry I don’t think [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] would make a great name, however I do love [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f]!
[name_m]Just[/name_m] reminds me of [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] Kidman. The nn [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] is cute though. I’d actually not assume you were religious, I’d think you were trying to be different.
Not at all. I am not religious - that is not a religious thing?? I mean, I still have Sundays as well…
But I think it is a lovely name, I always thought it was pretty. [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] and [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f]!
I like the name [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], you could call her [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] as a nickname. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] Kidman and [name_m]Keith[/name_m] [name_u]Urban[/name_u] name their daughter this. [name_m]Way[/name_m] better than [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] in opinion.
I like [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s obviously tied to religion at all.
I think it’s a really pretty name. I can see that it could have religious symbolism to you, as your religious, but I think it can also be appreciated by those who are not- as it is a word name- just like other “weekday” names.
Completely agree!
I like the suggestion of [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] nn [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] (or Wendsday nn [name_f]Wendy[/name_f]).
I wouldn’t assume [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] to be religious - I’d assume it was a whimsy name that symbolized the freedom, family and fun that surround [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]. The same type of name as [name_f]Summer[/name_f], [name_u]Winter[/name_u], or [name_f]Holiday[/name_f].
Ditto! I envision a happy, warm and compassionate person.
I am not religious but the name [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] doesn’t seem over the top to me. I know its significance, but it’s not in-your-face spiritual, so I think it’s fine.
I dislike any days of the week as name - it just seems odd.
As for [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]- I’m not a big fan, and yes, I’d assume the parents are religious, however, I feel like this rhyme may be something of interest to you, Raevyn.
[name_f]Monday[/name_f]'s child is fair of face,
[name_f]Tuesday[/name_f]'s child is full of grace,
[name_f]Wednesday[/name_f]'s child is full of woe,
Thursday’s child has far to go,
Friday’s child is loving and giving,
[name_m]Saturday[/name_m]'s child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the [name_m]Sabbath[/name_m] day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.
Going by that classic rhyme, [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]'s associated with happiness, so I think that helps tone down the religious connection slightly.
I would use [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] as a middle name, but that’s just my personal opinion
