[name_m]Hi[/name_m], when I was little I loved the old name [name_f]Esther[/name_f], but had gone off of it as an adult for super girly frilly names like flora, [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], basically any floral name, willow, grace, [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].
Then on here, someone suggested [name_f]Esther[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and I love it. Double whammy name usage also get the nick name [name_f]Essie[/name_f].
So super girly middles please, suggestions and opinions.
I have [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] on my list, so [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] was my first idea! Most of your MNs ([name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f]) are all old names, and it doesn’t really give any life to [name_f]Esther[/name_f] for me, so I’d use something a bit more modern. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though they are gorgeous names. I’ve heard [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], and I think all those are great–you could reverse [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] to [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f].
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] - [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] is more girly in my opinion
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - pretty cute
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] - [name_f]Willow[/name_f] has a very punky sound to me
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f] - the overall pronunciation is… meh. But [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is indeed a super feminine name
I would want something that would lift it up and give it a bit of warmth and whimsy, the middle names above are just my stock standard middles for other names.
I feel like [name_f]Esther[/name_f], needs a middle I possibly would think is to far out for first name usage, but very feminine. Especially to stand in the sibset with [name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m].
Hubby won’t consider colours or flowers as a first I love nature names so maybe a floral or nature middle
I loveeeeee [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Cherry[/name_f]! super cute and feminine and I think it works nicely with [name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m]!
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] has so many great nicknames! In addition to [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Essie[/name_f] there are [name_f]Estee[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. Also:
I actually wouldn’t describe any name you listed as super girly or frilly, they’re all very feminine but they also have that short, to-the-point strength that is quite the opposite of frilly to me; though they are all playful/fun.
Frilly names, for me, tend to be elaborate, long names with many letters, usually with many vowels or double letters, too - more like [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] (though I wouldn’t say that [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is frilly), [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]; doesn’t mean they lack in strength but that’s what I think of as super girly and frilly. Actually, I’d put [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is the same category, style-wise, as [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f] or [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
Anyway, I like the idea of something light with [name_f]Esther[/name_f], maybe something a bit more modern, though still classic.
I’m not sure if they’ve been mentioned, probably have, but something along the lines of:
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]/[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]/[name_f]Georgina[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
I personally also love [name_f]Esther[/name_f] with more vintage names, such as [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] or [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] but these might not fit the super girly category (though maybe they do for you).
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] is a lovely name, by the way, I’ve come to really appreciate it reading/watching [name_m]Charles[/name_m] Dickens’ “Bleak House”!
Hey there, my name is [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! I think you should go with a long middle name that you could get cute nicknames out of for [name_f]Esther[/name_f], since there is a chance she’ll dislike it because it’s old.
I really like [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Cherry[/name_f].
