I’ve actually never heard her parents say it. Has someone here? Or know a prn from another person?
I imagine it like “surrey” (rhymes with hurry), but realize it could be soo-ree. Surrey’s eaiser to say though (for me)

I believe it’s said like surrey / hurry.
I’ve always thought it was like surrey / hurry too.
I always pronounced it like the city Surrey.
The spelling looks like sooree to me and that’s the only way I’ve heard it pronounced.
It’s pronounced like Surrey.
Some believe the name was chosen, because the former world HQ of the Church of Scientology, was based in the English country of Surrey.
I actually thought it was Suh-ree with the emphasis on the ree like [name]Cheri[/name]?
It sounds like a pretty name. I heard that she has no middle name?
I’ve always thought it was said like Surrey/Hurry as well.
I’ve always said it like Surrey, [name]England[/name], as well.
I’ve always thought they pronounced it surrey/hurry but according to http://www.pronouncenames.com the correct pronunciation is suh-ree
Thanks all! Gotta watch for an interview with one of them to see if it comes up. I think I have heard news anchors on celeb news shows say it like Surrey/surrey/hurry, but while that’s likely to be right the parents themselves would be the ultimate choice.
I’m sure other people with this name (if they’re out there) probably use suh-[name]REE[/name] or soo-ree in some cases.
I have always assumed it was Soo-ree, google seems to agree…
I always thought it was pronounced soo-[name]REE[/name]…
I say sur-ee
It’s pronounced Suh-ree, it’s a yiddish name.
Up until one minute ago I never questioned it was pronounced SOO-ree.
It’s SOO-ree, my mistake (wasn’t thinking in english when I replied). At least that’s the way my great aunt pronounced it.
My Australian accent would pronounce it as soo-ree
I’ve always said ‘sooree’ too. I put it without the hyphen as the ‘oor’ sound blends together when I say it like a cross between ‘oor’ and ‘or’. Hard to describe! Lol.
