Surname Struggles

Hello fellow berries,

After countless hours of changing my mind, I have finally settled on the first name [name_f]Raphaela[/name_f] for my main character. And with first name struggles out of the way, I have graduated to surname struggles.

[name_f]Raphaela[/name_f] in and of itself if a mouthful so the longer surnames I adore make the name an even bigger mouthful. That being said I am looking for surnames of either 1 or 2 syllables that flow well with [name_f]Raphaela[/name_f]. (Which it turning out to be quite difficult). Preferably of English/Latin origin.

Some surnames I’ve considered:

  • [name_m]Winters[/name_m]. (I adore this combo. Too much of a mouthful though?)
  • [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. (Such a cute last name).
  • [name_m]Morrissey[/name_m] (Too long?)
  • Moreno. (Again, love the surname).

I welcome any and all suggestions as I am at the point of pulling my hair out.

I like all your options except [name_u]Sage[/name_u].

Oh, the struggle. I change my character’s surnames over and over. I prefer [name_u]Sage[/name_u] from your options.

I like [name_f]Raphaela[/name_f] Moreno best! I always find that, when in doubt, the roster of your favorite or a local sports team is a good place to go. I’m not sure how many of my characters have surnames of or inspired by Sporting KC soccer players, lol!
