Surnames as first names!

I’ve recently been intrigued by last names that serve well as handsome first names for boys. For example, I like [name_u]Shea[/name_u]/[name_u]Shay[/name_u] (but can’t use this particular one).

I like [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. But it also reminds me of a great name for a dog. Is this true with anyone else?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Last name is three syllables starting with a hard C, so we have to keep the first name on the short side.

Sisters are [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f].

I think of [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], so I don’t think of [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] as a pet name at all. I really like [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] as a first name.

Suggestions:
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] (too long?)
[name_u]Carter[/name_u]
[name_u]Porter[/name_u]
[name_m]Palmer[/name_m]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]
[name_m]Dawson[/name_m]
McCormick
[name_m]Beckham[/name_m]
[name_m]Bridger[/name_m]
[name_m]Judson[/name_m]
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
Keiffer
[name_u]Alden[/name_u]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]

Actually, many boys’ names are common surnames, or derivatives of them. [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_u]Blake[/name_u], [name_m]Andrew/name_m, [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Edward/name_m, [name_u]James[/name_u], are all commonly used as either fn’s or ln’s. I don’t think of [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] as a dog’s name at all. Other suggestions that would be nice with your longer last name…

[name_m]Nash[/name_m]
[name_m]Piers[/name_m]/[name_m]Pierce[/name_m]
[name_m]Brooks[/name_m]
[name_u]Tate[/name_u]
[name_m]Clarke[/name_m]

Extremely tacky trend

I love surnames as first names! I also think [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] is a cool name and goes well with [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f].

I like [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. My favorite Surnames as first names are [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and [name_m]Ford[/name_m].

Appreciate the feedback everyone!
