Found out a couple of weeks ago I am expecting a baby girl. I’m 38 and wasn’t planning on having any more children. Once I got over the initial shock, I can see what a blessed addition she is going to make to our family. We already have two daughters, [name_f]Mallie[/name_f] and [name_m]Hays[/name_m]. I am having such a hard time thinking of another girl name that we can all (mostly) agree on. Please help. Thank you.
A few we are considering:
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] or [name_f]Bren[/name_f]
[name_f]Bess[/name_f] (currently my favorite)
[name_u]Bay[/name_u] (like this one)
[name_u]Lake[/name_u] (husband likes)
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] (only name my daughters like, I don’t)
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
Teagen
[name_u]Clancy[/name_u]
[name_u]Nealy[/name_u]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] or [name_u]Remi[/name_u]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_u]Lake[/name_u], and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] are my favorites with your other daughters.
Maybe…
[name_f]Mallie[/name_f], [name_m]Hays[/name_m], and…
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_u]Jem[/name_u] or [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_u]Fifer[/name_u]
[name_f]Taya[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] - a lovely name, that goes with your sibset rather will, though it does rhyme with [name_m]Hays[/name_m] a bit. Cute.
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] - probably one of my favourites on your list, it’s a strong name that works perfectly on a little girl and an adult. Also lovely with the siblings.
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] or [name_f]Bren[/name_f] - I’ve never heard of [name_f]Bren[/name_f], but it sounds like the blunt boys’ name [name_m]Brent[/name_m]. [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] is okay, not really my style. I prefer there to be vowels in a name. I also prefer the [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] spelling - the extra n is superfluous.
[name_f]Bess[/name_f] - this one is nice, though it feels like it should be short for something. It is a good, solid choice, however.
[name_u]Bay[/name_u] - I do like [name_u]Bay[/name_u] quite a lot - it feels rather serene - though it rhymes almost exactly with [name_m]Hays[/name_m].
[name_u]Lake[/name_u] - I like [name_u]Lake[/name_u] as well, but it dislike that it’s very similar to [name_u]Blake[/name_u], which I dislike, and may get misheard as it.
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] - feels rather dated next to your modern girls.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] - feels too classic compared to the other names you’ve chosen.
Teagen - I prefer the [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] spelling, and while this name isn’t quite my style, it seems like a great choice for your family.
[name_u]Clancy[/name_u] - I dislike the nasally sound this invokes with the first syllable. It feels, I don’t know, whiny, maybe?
[name_u]Nealy[/name_u] - doesn’t seem like a name, to me.
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] or [name_u]Remi[/name_u] - [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is the correct spelling, and this is a boys’-only name for me.
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] - ditto, boys’ only.
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] - rhymes with “moan”, thus making it mildly unattractive.
I forgot - suggestions!
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Effy[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_u]Rain[/name_u]
[name_f]Beryl[/name_f]
[name_f]Clea[/name_f]
[name_f]Niamh[/name_f] ([name_f]Neve[/name_f])
[name_u]Romy[/name_u]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Plum[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlet[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Saffron[/name_f] nn Saff, Saffie, [name_f]Ronnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
Your daughters have awesome names!
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Mallie[/name_f], [name_m]Hays[/name_m] & [name_f]Bess[/name_f]!
You could also do [name_f]Beth[/name_f] (I love the ‘th’ sound in this), nn [name_f]Bess[/name_f].
Good luck!
