[name]Frances[/name] Navarra or [name]Willa[/name] [name]Margarett[/name] would be my first picks for girls! [name]Love[/name] 'em. I don’t think [name]Frances[/name] is too old; nn [name]Franny[/name], Francy or [name]France[/name], [name]Fancy[/name], [name]Fritz/name, and good old-fashioned [name]Annie[/name] give plenty of lighter nicknames. I love [name]Willa[/name] and [name]Miriam[/name], but find [name]Wilhelmina[/name] a bit over-bearing. [name]Juliette[/name] is a runner up. I like [name]Beatrix[/name], but I don’t feel like it fits with [name]Miriam[/name] quiiite as well.
I disagree about [name]Atticus[/name] vs. [name]Luca[/name]. I might call [name]Atticus[/name] a bit over-hyped rather than trendy: I know it has been rising quickly, but it is only ranked in the mid 400s. I find [name]Luca[/name] more on-trend: ranked at #260, it is more popular and still slowly climbing, and [name]Hilary[/name] [name]Duff[/name] just named her son [name]Luca[/name]. Its cousins, [name]Luke[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name], are ranked at #39 and #29 respectively, so [name]Luca[/name] feels to me like another alternative (albeit a classy, handsome one). What I mean by all this isn’t that I dislike either one; I just don’t find [name]Atticus[/name] more overused or trendy than [name]Luca[/name].
I agree with a pp that if [name]Dominick[/name] won’t be used, then it should go in the middle. I like [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Dominick[/name] best (regardless of the above paragraph, haha). I think [name]Luca[/name]'s sleek Italian/European style jars a bit with understated, vintage [name]Miriam[/name]. I like [name]Atticus[/name] better with it style-wise, but I understand concerns about its sudden spurt of popularity. [name]Arthur[/name] meets and complements [name]Miriam[/name]'s great qualities, and has a fun literary history! I [name]LOVE[/name] the potential pet name [name]Bear[/name], too! I am totally for [name]Arthur[/name].
Lots of good suggestions. I would add/second [name]Lorelei[/name] or [name]Laurel[/name], [name]Lucille[/name], [name]Cecilia[/name], [name]Anneliese[/name], [name]Elinor[/name], [name]Susan[/name] or [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Ramona[/name], [name]Dorothy[/name]/[name]Dorothea[/name] (nn [name]Thea[/name]?), [name]Helen[/name], [name]Elise[/name], [name]Hazel[/name] or [name]Georgia[/name] as well as [name]Conrad[/name], [name]Vincent[/name] or [name]Victor[/name], [name]Harris[/name] (nn [name]Harry[/name]), [name]Charles[/name] (nn [name]Arlo[/name]), [name]Frederick[/name], [name]Franklin[/name], [name]Asa[/name], and [name]Everett[/name] (nn [name]Ever[/name], Rev, or [name]Rhett[/name]), [name]Garrett[/name], or [name]Barrett[/name].
