[name]Hi[/name] all,
I’ve posted recently about my daughter, [name]Susannah[/name]. We’re trying to decide on a middle name to honor either my mother or grandmother, so let me explain.
[name]Pearl[/name] - This ones after my grandma. Her name is [name]Peggy[/name] which is a form of [name]Margaret[/name], as is [name]Pearl[/name]. In terms of flow, I think [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] goes better than [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]. I was very close to my grandmother growing up and the symbolism of the pearl is very important to me.
[name]Corinne[/name] - This ones after mom. My moms name is [name]Cori[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]. Her dad wanted her middle name to be [name]Lynn[/name] but they didn’t want to name her [name]Corinne[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]. Not to sound cliche, but my moms my best friend. We’re very close. She stayed with me for ten months in the hospital when I had cancer at 15 years old, was by side threw everything. I aspire to be just like my mom and I hope my daughter does too. The problem with [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]'s flow is it just sounds awkward, for one, and the double ‘N’s’ in the middle of the names bother me. Are there any ideas that would honor [name]Cori[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]?
Thank you so much for your help!
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] is simply perfect! Although I like [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] too.
As for [name]Cori[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]…
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Lynette[/name]?
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Coralie[/name] has the same meaning as [name]Corinne[/name] and makes for good flow.
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corine[/name] is another variation with the same meaning.
