Flitting between [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] and [name_m]Owen[/name_m]. They both give an honest/earnest, relaxed, outdoorsy and handsome feel. I don’t warm to the name [name_m]Dean[/name_m] (it’s a bit rough here in Oz) and even still, I don’t think it works especially well after [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. I like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but I know about 8 Theodore’s (Theos & Teddys) under age 10 think it means [name_m]Evan[/name_m] is stylistically on the outs, as the non vintage/storybook name. I also find something more mature and self-assured about [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] and [name_m]Owen[/name_m]. [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] stands on its own a little more compared to [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Evan[/name_m], but [name_m]Owen[/name_m] is breezier. Voting [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] but it’s on par with [name_m]Owen[/name_m] for me.

I really appreciate this feedback. Thank you

I never thought of [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] as storybook but I often think of them as library names so that makes sense to me
What other names would you put in that category? [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]? [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]?

I have the same feeling as [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], I voted [name_m]Owen[/name_m], I think it pairs the best with your sibset. [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] is close behind and I really like the name too.

Yes, basically that scruffy haired [name_m]Brit[/name_m] boy who goes on an adventure: [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], Hugo/Hugh, [name_m]Bertie[/name_m], [name_m]Teddy[/name_m] & [name_m]Peter[/name_m].

Yes! I love those style names. But [name_m]Owen[/name_m] doesn’t
Have that feel. I need a name somewhere btwn [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Owen[/name_m] in their feel. Any ideas?

I picked [name_m]Owen[/name_m] mainly because the length is closer to [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Evan[/name_m]. I find [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] too long even with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] (but I do love [name_m]Teddy[/name_m] and [name_m]Theo[/name_m] with your kids’ names) and I like [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] (Andy is a cute nickname too) but the -an from [name_m]Evan[/name_m] and [name_f]An[/name_f]- in [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] are slightly close for me

I also love [name_m]Dean[/name_m] as a name and I think it sounds great with [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Evan[/name_m], I just don’t love it with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] because they both start with D. I know some people don’t care if some of the kids share the same initial but for me I don’t love it

I will say I do agree with @4momever that [name_m]Owen[/name_m] doesn’t have the same feel to your other kids but I think that’s because it feels more modern. [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] all feel like more traditional names while [name_m]Owen[/name_m] feels more modern (Evan is sort of bordering both for me.) I can picture [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] being in a classic novel but [name_m]Owen[/name_m] feels too young. The only [name_m]Owens[/name_m] I know are also my age (20s) while with [name_m]Dean[/name_m] I picture someone 30+ and [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] as someone in their 50s (not counting [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] in this because it’s so popular and I know so many people in a broad age range for it)

That said I still chose [name_m]Owen[/name_m] and I like [name_m]Owen[/name_m] with your kids’ names. I think [name_m]Owen[/name_m] brings more of a modern and youthful vibe to your sibset. And I also think [name_m]Owen[/name_m] is a really sweet name for a little brother (what I mean by this is some names I picture more for eldest or youngest siblings, or when someone is stuck between 2 I tend to pick the one that feels more like the oldest kid. So seeing [name_m]Owen[/name_m] I think it works great for the youngest!)

Anyway sorry for the long message but I hope this helps!

No I love your long response it’s the sort of info I’m looking for. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other suggestions of what fits better from your perspective bc I agree with what you said.

Does [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] feel like a better fit than all of these??

I love brothers [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Evan[/name_m], and Oliver/Theodore
The only one that doesn’t seem to fit is [name_m]Dean[/name_m].

I think Oliver is the sweet spot! It’s classic and imo both storybook charming (Oli) but then also just solid and timeless. I personally prefer it to Owen & Theodore (though I def like these names). Benedict, Charles (nn Charlie), Xander, Robert, William, Louis (the Louie pronunciation but Lewis could work too - I prefer Owen to Lewis though), Felix (not sure if too out there for Evan!?), Jack (this would be cool!), Walter (Walt is adorable!), Murphy, Watson, Joseph, Tobias/Toby, Bastian, Samuel, George or Xavier.

But always go for the name you love on its own terms first, I say - “perfect” sibset secondary! It seems like you’ve loved the four names in the poll for a while now (and the only one that’s a real no for me - as a random on internet - is Dean).:sparkles:

What about [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] ‘Alfie’? I feel like that’s in there

I voted for [name_m]Owen[/name_m] but I think [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] fits better, since [name_m]Evan[/name_m] and [name_m]Owen[/name_m] are a bit close imo! Maybe You’d like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], which would go lovely as well.

Alfred (to me) is as vintage cute as Theodore so it wouldn’t be in the middle for me. Alfie is the same as Freddie, Bertie, Archie, August, Ambrose, Otis etc (in my estimation). You can go for vintage though! It doesn’t really matter than Evan then will marginally stand out, it’s all marginal! Oliver is still my top pick as in the middle and means all get starting letter and all boys getting a different ending sound.

Yes seems like I’m drawn to that vintage story book feel as I’m also drawn to [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] with [name_m]Archie[/name_m] as the nickname. I love all of them so one of the things I want is for the set to be cohesive. I think [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] I’m drawn to. I like [name_m]Owen[/name_m] as well but it’s a whole different feel. Also like [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] and [name_m]Vernon[/name_m] a lot but I know those are a bit stuffier sort of sounding especially with [name_m]Evan[/name_m].

My friend has an Archie but his first name is Archer. I like that too! But Arthur nn Archie works. You could even have middle name Charles too double down on the nn (ie Arthur Charles nn Archie).

My two picks then would be Archie (Archer or Arthur/Arthur Charles) or Oliver. But obv if your heart is with Theodore as one of your four originals, go for it (I just like the idea of a shorter looking and less cutesy name with your others). Alfred and Vernon feel a little too dark academia / moody compared to your others and Vernon is visually too close to Evan for me, and don’t like the nickname options. Alfred’s better of the two. I prefer Wilfred (Wilfie) to Alfred myself. Obv take or leave my thoughts!

That’s good then. Some other names you may like that also fit with your kids’ names

[name_m]Aden[/name_m]
[name_m]Alden[/name_m]
[name_m]Amias[/name_m]
[name_m]Anthony[/name_m]
[name_m]Asher[/name_m]
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m]
[name_m]August[/name_m]
[name_m]Beau[/name_m]
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_m]Brighton[/name_m]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_m]Callum[/name_m]
[name_m]Charles[/name_m] (Charlie)
[name_m]Colin[/name_m]
[name_m]Finley[/name_m]
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] or [name_m]Jacoby[/name_m]
[name_m]James[/name_m] or [name_m]Jameson[/name_m]
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
[name_m]Laurence[/name_m]
[name_m]Leland[/name_m]
[name_m]Louie[/name_m] or [name_m]Louis[/name_m]
[name_m]Luke[/name_m]
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Noah[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Phillip[/name_m]
[name_m]Reid[/name_m] or [name_m]Reed[/name_m]
[name_m]Rhett[/name_m]
[name_m]Rhys[/name_m]
[name_m]Roman[/name_m]
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m]
[name_m]Sawyer[/name_m]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_m]Stefan[/name_m]
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m]
[name_m]Weston[/name_m]
[name_m]Winston[/name_m]
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m]

[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] definitely has more of a traditional feel to it than [name_m]Owen[/name_m]! If you’re looking for more classic / old fashioned names rather than modern it would be going more in that direction for sure!
