Sybil?

I’m doing my usual late night, insomnia fuelled habit of pondering names with a steaming cup of cocoa. On a previous post somebody recommended the name [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] as a twin for [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] and I am in love!!!

[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] sound so wonderful together to my ear and I love the idea of [name_u]Ottie[/name_u] and Sybbie for nicknames!

What do you all think?

Sound great together

[name_f]Sybil[/name_f] is one of my favourite names (in my top 10), and I love how unusual, vintage, and absolutely gorgeous she is. Because I first heard it on a character ([name_f]Sybil[/name_f] Crawley from Downton) it has a strong willed, passionate feel which I love. [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] make perfect twin names!

I think [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] are absolutely gorgeous together! [name_u]Ottie[/name_u] and Sybbie are lovely, too!

Beautiful choices! I have such a soft spot for [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sibbie[/name_f]!

I love [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sibbie[/name_f]!!!

So sweet! We had [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] on our list for years and I still love her. I would love for more people to use this name!
[name_m]Rufus[/name_m], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] is a very good group.

Great choice. I love [name_f]Sybil[/name_f].

[name_u]Love[/name_u]! (So glad that Downton [name_u]Abbey[/name_u]'s use of this name has eclipsed my formerly sole association of the book/film about Multiple Personality Disorder!) The similar [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be another great choice.

My daughter is [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] and we get such positive reactions to her name! It suits her perfectly!

Not a fan of [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]. It always reminds me of the book, “[name_f]Sybil[/name_f]” about the young woman with a multiple personality disorder, and it wasn’t pretty to read about or watch.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] them together (I’m especially fond of [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]!)

I like it but I prefer it spelled [name_f]Sibyl[/name_f].
