I’m torn with this name. I think ‘[name_u]Dash[/name_u]-uhl’ sounds really cute and if he went by [name_u]Dash[/name_u] there wouldn’t be too many pronounciation problems. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the name? What are your thoughts on it?

I think its a cool name, and I love the nickname! It’s easy to pronounce, I doubt you’ll have any problems.

I love [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]! I pronounce it as dash-elle, not dash-uhl, personally. He would most definitely have pronunciation issues throughout his life if he went by [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], but not [name_u]Dash[/name_u], as you said.
I think of it as a really cool, sleek, modern, but still very distinguished, handsome, and dashing (pardon the pun lol).
I find [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] to be quite easy to pronounce and think it’s charming. I’ve only every known one person with this name and unfortunately they have left a long and unpleasant impression, but it wouldn/ be enough to ruin the name if I met a little [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]. I agree with pps about pronunciation & nn. I would have considered it for one of my children except I didn’t find the meaning (important to me) very persuasive.
@marcardk Thanks for the comment! What is the meaning? On here it says the meaning is unknown, but elsewhere I’ve seen it mean ‘brave, strong and mighty’ but also ‘page boy’
