I just finished the first season of The [name_u]Owl[/name_u] House and I’m crushing on the name Edalyn (ee-da-lyn)!
I’m interested to know if people could see me with an Edalyn or see Edalyn on my list (see UC)? Same with the nn [name_f]Eda[/name_f]. There’s an [name_f]Edie[/name_f] in my family so I’d like to avoid that but I’ve never met them so it’s not a complete dealbreaker.
It’s pretty! I think it works with your list. I know the cutest toddler named [name_f]Eda[/name_f], so it has a special place in my heart.

I’ve never watched the show- is the first syllable pronounced EHD or EED? Either way, I think it sounds sweet. I like [name_f]Eda[/name_f] as a nickname.
I think Edalyn works with your list – it’s got that sweet and spunky feeling that I see in the rest of your names.

It’s pronounced EE-da-lyn

Thank you! I do like the ‘eed’ sound better than ‘ehd’ sound, so I’m glad to hear that!

Not sure how it is pronounced?
I love [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and think [name_f]Eda[/name_f] is fine.
I’m just not partial to the letter y and -lyn endings.

I think it fits right it with your names! Especially as a middle but works as a first too. I love [name_f]Eda[/name_f], I’ve never seen it before but how cute! Would totally consider it myself if my niece wasn’t [name_f]Eva[/name_f].

Edalyn is bouncy and sweet! I like it

I think it would definitely work with your names! It’s sweet, bouncy and vibrant; I would personally use [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and I think that goes best with your style but [name_f]Eda[/name_f] seems and feels more timeless and versatile!

I think Edalyn is cute, there might be some pronunciation issues but that wouldn’t be a big deal. Eda is also cute, however depending on your accent or where you live it’s might get confused with the word eater which may or may mot bother you

I live in the US so I could see it sounding like “eat a” but not “eater”. I do tend to emphasize the D in [name_f]Eda[/name_f].
It’s pretty! If I saw it I would assume it is [name_m]Ed[/name_m]-a-lyn though, as would other people I’m assuming, not sure if that would bother you.
Thanks! I probably wouldn’t call her [name_f]Edie[/name_f] because of the family member but I wouldn’t mind if the nickname came naturally because I’ve never met the family member and I doubt my kids ever will (she’s my cousins’ cousin on their mom’s side but I have such a small family, it still feels relevant.)

I don’t really like -lyn names. That said I think [name_f]Eda[/name_f] (ee-dah) and [name_f]Edeline[/name_f] (eh-dell-line) would be really good options.

That’s fair! [name_f]Eda[/name_f] on its own isn’t really my style. [name_f]Edeline[/name_f] is interesting.
I love [name_f]Eda[/name_f], I love The [name_u]Owl[/name_u] House, and I think both forms are wonderful! Edalyn is a bit more elegant than just naming a kid [name_f]Eda[/name_f]. Edalyn leaves for cute nicknames like [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eda[/name_f] and [name_u]Lyn[/name_u]
