Is [name_f]Talullah[/name_f] too out there for a real baby? If she went mostly by [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] would she not like her full name? Impossible to know of course just wondering what you think.
i think tallulah is a lovely name, and absolutely not too ‘out there.’ it gives me the same vibes as juniper- hippie and unexpected, sure, but gorgeous nonetheless. tallulah is also made more familiar by a character in firefly lane, and a irish catholic saint by the same name. the nickname ‘lulu’ is fun and spirited, and i don’t see why it would make her dislike her full name!
I’ve met at least five Tallulahs now several little ones and two older ones. One did go almost exclusively by [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] and it suited her best, but the others were definitely Tallulahs. It’s such a bouncy, bright name.
there is no guarantee your child will like it, nor that will dislike it. actually every name, could be liked or disliked. but i hope your child will like it!
I adore [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]! Top of my list so definitely not too out there. Other nickname options are Tali/Tully/Lula/Lua, so she’d have a choice
I don’t think [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] is too much at all So beautiful!
i know quite a few talullahs, so it doesn’t seem out-there at all to me - fairly unusual, but not at all weird. lulu is a fun nickname, but she’s obviously got options. i think it’s a really great choice, a real sweet-spot name.
Definitely not too much! I love [name_f]Talullah[/name_f], and [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]. I might add this to my Listography.
Anyone else remember [name_f]Talula[/name_f] Does The Hula From [name_u]Hawaii[/name_u]?
I’ve only met one [name_f]Talullah[/name_f] and she was an adult in her 30’s. I’d expect a [name_f]Talullah[/name_f] would mostly receive positive remarks about her name and the occasional comment that it was unusual. It certainly fits with the variety of names being given to babies in recent years.
Impossible to predict a person’s feelings about their own name but I would think the most common feeling towards one’s own name is neutrality.
I don’t think [name_f]Talullah[/name_f] is too out there
I definitely don’t think [name_f]Talullah[/name_f] is too out there. I love the nn [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] for it!
[name_f]Talullah[/name_f] is beautiful and I love [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] too. Not too out there at all. I think she is most likely to love that her name isn’t common, but lovely, and she has options as a nickname if she wishes.
For me [name_f]Talullah[/name_f] is a bit out there. I wouldn’t judge anyone who was named that though.
I see [name_f]Lula[/name_f] as a nicer nickname than [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]. It actually has the feel of a name. I knew a [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] once, and I felt like I was calling her a silly name each time I said it.
Not in my opinion… I have heard of a lot babies being named [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] / [name_f]Talullah[/name_f] in the last 2 years so I think it will be the next trend. Also, the late [name_m]Chester[/name_m] Bennington’s ex wife is named [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f].
[name_f]Talulah[/name_f] is definitely known and used and not too out there at all!
[name_f]Lulu[/name_f] is darling and [name_f]Talulah[/name_f] has so many great nicknames if she prefers something else [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] or [name_f]Lula[/name_f] alone are also darling
I know a real [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], nn [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], and at the time she was named in like 2009 I thought it was pretty out there, but once she started growing up it stopped being weird. Now I love [name_f]Talullah[/name_f], though I am not as into [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] as a nn for anyone past their teen years.
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] is fantastic. [name_f]May[/name_f] I suggest [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] and [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] as sisters?
Not too out there! I know a teenage [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]. [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] is great!
I don’t think it’s out there. But I know of a [name_f]Disney[/name_f] movie that once used a unflattering imagery to describe how they felt about the name and in 30 years I still haven’t been able to shake it so I personally wouldn’t be able to ever use it. But wouldn’t blink if others did.
I think [name_f]Talullah[/name_f] is both beautiful and a little out there. It wouldn’t stop me using it but there might be some raised eyebrows.
