What are your thoughts on the girls name [name_f]Tammy[/name_f]?
I really like this name if I’m honest! But the only thing is do you think many people would find it too dated? I really like “Vintage” names but the only thing holding me back from putting it on my list is people thinking of it as very dated.
I would love to hear your thoughts on [name_f]Tammy[/name_f] and any middle names you think would go well with it.
I honestly don’t think [name_f]Tammy[/name_f] is ready for a resurgence. I associate it with an obnoxious soccer mom with a bad perm. [name_f]Tammy[/name_f], [name_f]Debbie[/name_f], and [name_u]Shelley[/name_u] all give me that image.
[name_f]Tammy[/name_f] screams ‘mum name’ to me. I personally think this name has a very unappealing sound (it reminds me of words like tummy, gummy).
I do see the appeal of y ending names though.
I think [name_f]Tamara[/name_f] is a classic name so as a nn [name_f]Tammy[/name_f] works. As a name on its own, [name_f]Tammy[/name_f] seems a bit incomplete and still dated to me. However, nickname names are in so your baby could rock it!
[name_f]Tamara[/name_f] (I say tuh-[name_f]MAR[/name_f]-uh like car) works with the above or
[name_f]Tamara[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]
[name_f]Tamara[/name_f] [name_f]Della[/name_f]
[name_f]Tamara[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Tamara[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Tammy[/name_f] as a full given name I don’t care for much, but I do like it better than [name_f]Tamara[/name_f]. I happen to love [name_f]Terri[/name_f], so I guess that is a similar vibe to [name_f]Tammy[/name_f]. [name_f]Tammie[/name_f] is also a cute spelling.
Anyways, If you like [name_f]Tammy[/name_f] a lot, you may like the following names and you could exclusively call her [name_f]Tammy[/name_f] for a nickname.
[name_f]Tamryn[/name_f]
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]
[name_f]Thomasin[/name_f] ([name_m]TOM[/name_m]-ah-sin) There’s also [name_f]Thomasine[/name_f] (sEEN) and [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f].
Tienna [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] for example, could be a “[name_f]Tammy[/name_f].”
