What is your preferred spelling of this name? I love the sound of the name, but I am not a huge fan of needing the accent mark to denote pronunciation, especially when government forms and documents in the US don’t typically allow the use of accents. But I’m afraid [name_f]Thea[/name_f] would automatically be pronounce thee-uh and Taia or [name_f]Taya[/name_f] might get TIE-uh. I’m torn. haha Thoughts?
For the tay-uh pronuncaition, I love Téa, though I see that the accent could be frustrating.
Thea I would say thee-uh, but it is probably the easiest option. I think it would be an easy correction.

Thea will probably get pronounced as thee-uh in [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking countries, but it’s an easy fix. Téa would be my second choice.
I didn’t know you could pronounce [name_f]Thea[/name_f] as [name_f]Taya[/name_f]… Huh. [name_f]Taya[/name_f] seems the least confusing, although not perfect and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] looks prettier. Tough!
I would pronounce [name_f]Thea[/name_f] as THEE-uh. To get to TAY-uh, I think Téa or [name_f]Taya[/name_f] makes the most sense, but keep in mind that sometimes accents get left off of things in [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking countries and would therefore be read as [name_f]Tea[/name_f] (aka “tee”).
Téa is the only one i think that would get the right pronunciation
Tea!! I think actress [name_f]Tea[/name_f] [name_u]Leoni[/name_u] has made the name more familiar. Unfortunately though, I think there will be pronunciation issues with all of them. While [name_f]Tea[/name_f] is my favorite spelling, I think [name_f]Taya[/name_f] would probably have the least corrections! No matter what you choose though, I think it’s an easy correction to make 
I don’t like Taia or [name_f]Taya[/name_f] because I feel that the popularity of [name_f]Maia[/name_f]/Maya would make people assume it is pronounced as TIE-uh. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] would most likely pronounced as THEE-uh. I have known two people with this name. One spelled it Teya and the other spelled it Teja. I know that Teya never had any issues with pronunciation, but I’m not sure about Teja. But maybe those could be options for you? Personally, I prefer Teya.

@sunflowerbelle The accent getting left off was one of the concerns I mentioned in my post, particularly in US government forms/documents/etc.
@joyous57 I kind of lean toward TIE-uh with the Taia/Taya spelling, too. I can definitely see how Teya might be more intuitive. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not sure I love the way it looks. Hmm.
Oh sorry, totally missed that. Yes, I have a family member with an accent in her name and it’s always left off of everything which is frustrating for her. I agree with @joyous57 that Teya is a good option! I think that would definitely not get mispronounced.

I always said [name_f]Thea[/name_f] as [name_u]Tay[/name_u]-uh but now I see it pronounced as Thee-uh more often. I would say to two pronunciations that more of the classic spelling would be [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_f]Tea[/name_f]. Both of those have some issues as you’ve noted. I know a girl named Taeah which makes the pronunciation clear but loses some of the charm, to me at least. [name_f]My[/name_f] preference would be to go with [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_f]Tea[/name_f] and just correct people. They will learn.

I agree some of the less common spelling variations don’t have quite the same charm as the more traditional ones. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is, by far, my preferred spelling. It would just be a lot of correction, which doesn’t bother me so much as I worry it might annoy future child.
I like [name_f]Thea[/name_f] best, but I’d pronounce it like thee-uh.
For [name_u]Tay[/name_u]-uh I like Téa!
I would say [name_f]Taya[/name_f] as “tay-uh”. Téa has a clear pronunciation, but accent marks are a headache to type on a computer instead of a phone or tablet keyboard. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is immediately “thee-uh” to me

I think Téa is a nice spelling, but I could see why the accent mark would be annoying.
If you want [tay-uh]: go with Taea, [name_f]Taya[/name_f], Tayah, or Taeya. The last one and first one are phonetically the clearest.
If you want [thee-uh]: go with [name_f]Thea[/name_f]
If you want [tie-uh]: go with Taia or Taiyah
If you want [tee-uh]: go with [name_f]Tia[/name_f] or Tiya or Tiyah
Taya is my favourite, I knew the sweetest little girl with the name. Her name was pronounced as [name_u]Tay[/name_u]-ah. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] just doesn’t register as anything but Thee-ah for me
