Tell Me About These Names..!

tell me what you think of these names for girls!

[name_u]Remington[/name_u]
Hallen
[name_f]Demeka[/name_f]

tia, x

[name_u]Campbell[/name_u] – I immediately thought to [name_u]Campbell[/name_u]'s Soup, and from that, [name_u]Andy[/name_u] Warhol’s pop art of said soup cans. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing though, just what first came to my mind. As a name, though not at all my style, I think it’s fine (though I’m really not keen on the cam=crooked meaning, but hey, what non-name-nerd even knows or cares about the meaning of names, right?).
[name_u]Remington[/name_u] – Again, my first association was with brandnames…of hair dryers…and American guns (so I’ve heard). Also, for some strange reason I see [name_u]Remington[/name_u] as the perfect name for a rat, though I’ve no idea where that association comes from…(actually, now that I think about it, maybe it comes from the association with Ratatouille’s [name_u]Remy[/name_u]?) I do tend to find [name_u]Remington[/name_u] to feel rather pompous and ostentatious, too. I would greatly prefer just [name_u]Remy[/name_u], though.
Hallen – I mean, I’ve not come upon it before, but it seems to have all the right elements for a modern name. It does feel kind of like [name_u]Halle[/name_u] with an -n tacked on, or [name_m]Allen[/name_m] with an added H- though… I’m not overly keen on it myself, but I can see it working.
[name_f]Demeka[/name_f] – I’m not keen on this (modern?) spelling variation. I can see the appeal of the sound of it though. I think [name_f]Damica[/name_f] would look cleaner, and actually make more sense in regard to the meaning: if it is indeed meant to come from [name_m]French[/name_m] ami, meaning ‘friend’.

[name_u]Campbell[/name_u] is the only one I like. I can kind of see the appeal of [name_u]Remington[/name_u] but it’s a bit much for me and I’d be happy with just [name_u]Remi[/name_u]. I’ve never heard of the other two before. Hallen has some appeal - how about Halla or [name_u]Halley[/name_u]?

[name_u]Campbell[/name_u] - Cute! I think it’s a sweet name, especially with the nickname [name_f]Belle[/name_f].
[name_u]Remington[/name_u] - This one just seems really pretentious to me.
Hallen - Not a fan. It’d get mixed up with [name_f]Helen[/name_f] all the tie, which I like much more.
[name_f]Demeka[/name_f] - Not bad, though I’m not sure how it’s pronounced.

[name_u]Campbell[/name_u]- It does make me think of the soup. I don’t love it as a Last-Name-as-First-Name maybe because I’m just used to it as a last name? But it does have the cute nicknames of [name_u]Cam[/name_u] and [name_u]Bell[/name_u]. I prefer [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] and [name_m]Callahan[/name_m] as similar names.

[name_u]Remington[/name_u]- I love the name of [name_u]Remi[/name_u] but [name_u]Remington[/name_u] sounds like snobby boys name (I feel like he’s going to be called [name_u]Remington[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]Chase[/name_u] the 3rd or something). Sorry!

Hallen- I like this! It fits well into the naming conventions of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_u]Haven[/name_u] etc but is unique. It has some cute nicknames too- [name_m]Hal[/name_m], [name_f]Hallie[/name_f], [name_m]Lenny[/name_m], [name_f]Nell[/name_f] but is short and “clean” sounding to me.

[name_f]Demeka[/name_f]- This name feels very different than your other picks but I like it. “Hallen [name_f]Demeka[/name_f]” would make a pretty name.

[name_u]Campbell[/name_u]- I’ve known a girl and a boy with this name (for the boy, it was his last name but he went almost exclusively by it) so it works for both in my opinion. My first association is the boy I knew but after that it’s the soup. It’s one that I like but would never use myself

[name_u]Remington[/name_u]- I’ve actually known 3 girls named [name_u]Remington[/name_u] so I can’t actually see it as a boy’s name. I’m not a gun person so I wouldn’t think of that but the association would put me off the name, tbh. I love [name_u]Remy[/name_u], more than [name_u]Remington[/name_u]

Hallen- I like the sound but something about the spelling seems off? Almost like a not-quite-right version of [name_f]Helen[/name_f] or something.

[name_f]Demeka[/name_f]- this is really not my style so I’m not a fan

My favorite is [name_u]Campbell[/name_u]. I think it works well for a girl.

[name_u]Campbell[/name_u] - I quite like it. It has a nice ring to it. Tough with feminine nn options

[name_u]Remington[/name_u] - I find it a bit harsh though i like [name_u]Remy[/name_u]/[name_u]Remi[/name_u]

Hallen - I don’t mind it. It sounds quite distinct

[name_f]Demeka[/name_f] - interesting, I quite like it
