Tell me what you think

Okay so i’m not even pregnant yet, but i think if we have another girl her name will be Glorieta [name]Irene[/name], the sister of [name]Virginia[/name] [name]June[/name]. Tell me what you think then i’ll tell you the meaning.
thanks berries!

Glorieta [name]Irene[/name] & [name]Virginia[/name] [name]June[/name]

…I hate it :frowning: I’m sorry…it just sounds so frilly, old ladyish and over the top next to fun, fresh feeling and easy [name]Virginia[/name] [name]June[/name] (which I love btw). Can’t wait to hear what’s behind it, maybe it will sway me

Glorieta [name]Irene[/name] … It fits excellently stylistically with [name]Virginia[/name] [name]June[/name], but I think [name]Virginia[/name] [name]June[/name] somehow manages to sound fresher and funner … I think it is the [name]Irene[/name] whoch might be making me think that, as it seems somehow too much to me paired with Glorieta. [name]How[/name] about Glorieta [name]Pearl[/name]? Nn [name]Ettie[/name], maybe?

Good luck, and I apologise for insulting a name with meaning for you! [name]Auburn[/name]

Thanks for the honest opinions. heres the meaning: Glorieta is the town where dh and i met. [name]Irene[/name] is my grandmother’s middle name (which she went by) her full name was etta irene (which is what we would call the baby or just etta)

it should also be noted that [name]June[/name] is my other grandmother’s name and [name]Nanny[/name] [name]Irene[/name] seemed a little sad that she didn’t make the cut the first time around

In that case, I think the personal meaning trumps the debatably dated nature of [name]Irene[/name]. Go for it! [name]Etta[/name] is stunning.

[name]Auburn[/name]

you know up until a few weeks ago I hated [name]Irene[/name] and thought it sounded so dated. But suddenly it sounds so fresh to me. I was wondering if others felt that way but it doesn’t seem to be the case, haha! I think i’m gonna use it regardless it’s just the middle anyway

As said above significance trumps everything so follow your heart!! I actually really I like [name]Irene[/name] and I think [name]Virginia[/name] and [name]Irene[/name] would be sweet sisters! It’s the Glorieta part that bogs it down to me.

[name]EDIT[/name] [name]Irena[/name] [name]Ruth[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Rose[/name], [name]Rhys[/name]/[name]Reese[/name] all sound cute with [name]Virginia[/name] [name]June[/name] [name]IMO[/name].

what if you went with another name that gave you etta? Like [name]Violetta[/name]? Glorieta doesn’t sound very good with [name]Virginia[/name].

I love it! I loved it before I even read the meaning, and after reading the meaning I think it is the perfect name for you. And the nn [name]Etta[/name] is absolutely wonderful!

I don’t like Glorieta at all, but I think [name]Irene[/name] is lovely and really refreshing to see! What about [name]Gloria[/name]?

I love [name]Irene[/name] but sorry I think Glorieta is over board. What about [name]Gloria[/name]? [name]Irene[/name] [name]Gloria[/name]?

Thanks for all your feedback. It took me a while to warm up to Glorieta as a name but now that I have I just love it. I love the meaning that the name has for us and I love the nn potential.
I know it’s a bit of a mouthful but really no more so than any other name ending in etta (henrietta or violetta) and that’s what nicknames are for. I’m not sure if I’ll use, heck i don’t even know if we’ll have another girl, but if we do it will definitely make the short list!

I like Glorieta and I love that it has so much personal meaning for you! [name]Virginia[/name] [name]June[/name] is great, as well!

I love that you’re honoring grandma [name]Irene[/name], but I could really care less about Glorietta. No good. Sorry.
