I have a baby in my class named [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. She is super cute and super sweet, so the name has a positive connection for me.
Gorgeous!

I prefer just [name]Tess[/name] with [name]Nora[/name] myself. I love the literature of [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Hardy[/name] so I think that’s why. [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Tess[/name] would both have a literary connection.

I love [name]Tessa[/name], although I slightly prefer plain old [name]Tess[/name].
I think [name]Tess[/name] & [name]Nora[/name] sound great together.
I would prefer [name]Eleonora[/name] & [name]Theresa[/name], because I prefer the long form of names.
[name]Nora[/name] & [name]Tessa[/name] are cute nn. names.
I like [name]Tess[/name] better than [name]Tessa[/name]. [name]Tessa[/name] is a bit cutesy.
[name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] is a really great sib set! I adore [name]Tessa[/name], but it feels like a nickname to me so I’ve never added it to my own list.
I voted “neutral”. Because while I adore just [name]Tess[/name] (and it’s a serious contender for my short list), I’m just meh about the longer [name]Tessa[/name]. The “A” seems superfluous–technically, both [name]Tess[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name] are diminutives, so I really don’t get the point of giving a nickname as a full name that will be nicknamed even further? Why not just go for [name]Tess[/name]? At least, in my case it feels that way. There’s nothing wrong with [name]Tessa[/name]–in fact, I used to vastly prefer it to just [name]Tess[/name], which I had negative associations with (that I must have completely left in the past, because I love it now!)–but [name]Tess[/name] has more personality and spunk to me, which I love, while the “A” on the end makes [name]Tessa[/name] somehow seem a bit wishywashy to me. I do think it’s pretty, though, and [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name] are sweet together.
Good luck!
[name]Tessa[/name]. I had a student with this name and she was so delightful. I think of her every time I hear the name. [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] would be a sweet sibset.
[name]Tess[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] are precious!
[name]Tessa[/name] is such a cute girls name! i voted [name]Love[/name] it!
I like [name]Tessa[/name]. [name]Even[/name] if you like [name]Tess[/name] a bit more I think it’s a good idea to give her the name [name]Tessa[/name], then she will have both options. With [name]Tess[/name] alone she is limited. Name her [name]Tessa[/name] and she goes by either. Why not add the -a and give her the versatility? That’s my take.
I love [name]Tessa[/name]. Very sweet and versatile.
I really love [name]Tess[/name]. [name]Tessa[/name] is just okay.
I like both [name]Tess[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name]. I had a student named [name]Tess[/name] and she was wonderful!
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Rosamund[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Elinor[/name]
I love the name [name]Tessa[/name]! i also think it will go really nicely with [name]Nora[/name], so a great sibset!
Thanks for all of your input and votes!
We would use [name]Tessa[/name] instead of [name]Tess[/name], because our last name starts with Sh- and we would like to avoid using -s / Sh- back-to-back. Also, like missusaytch said, we would prefer to give her the option of using either [name]Tessa[/name] or [name]Tess[/name]. With [name]Tessa[/name], we can easily call her [name]Tess[/name], but if we named her [name]Tess[/name], we likely wouldn’t call her [name]Tessa[/name] as well.
[name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] are lovely together. I much prefer [name]Tessa[/name] over just [name]Tess[/name]. [name]Tess[/name] seems incomplete, but is great for a nick name.
