Tessa

I’m considering [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] for our third girl who is due this spring. My husband hasn’t encountered the name and is having difficulty getting on board. I’m not a big help- I’ve known one with an older brother named [name_m]David[/name_m] and I know of one other with a sister named [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].

My husband says it sounds like a nickname to him, and I can see his point of view, but don’t agree. I like the simplicity, spunk, and versatility of it.

It seems many Berries are a mixed bag on this name and I’m curious to hear different perspectives!
[name_m]TY[/name_m]!

I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]! I think it’s spunky and has a lot of personality, and though I’m more partial to [name_f]Tess[/name_f] on its own, I think [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is a wonderful name.

I like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] but if your husband doesn’t think it sounds like a full name, have you considered [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] (or one of its many variants) with [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] as a nickname?

[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is a lovely name.
I slightly prefer [name_f]Tess[/name_f].good luck!

I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. If I didn’t already have a niece called [name_f]Tess[/name_f], it would be on my list for sure. I think it’s very pretty.

I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] even though in my country my generation sees it as a “mean bitch name” but I don’t agree and if you live in the US you probably won’t have that problem. I know a lovely girl named [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. I usually have a preference for longer names but [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is an exception for me. I like it’s brevity. Though I do like [name_f]Teresa[/name_f] too with [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] as a nickname. The only [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] I’ve ever known is in her 30s and her brothers are [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_m]Adam[/name_m].

I love both [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f]. It’s a great, underused name that is feminine without being too frilly. Maybe he just needs a little time to become more familiar with it.

I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Tess[/name_f]. We have a [name_f]Tess[/name_f] and no one has ever asked what her full name is, people just generally love it.

I really didn’t like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] for a long time, but she’s really grown on me in the last month or so! I still prefer [name_f]Tess[/name_f], but [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is a lovely option. I grew up with a [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and as far as I remember, no one ever asked for her full name.

I like it. I think it’s spunky.
