TH names

[name_m]Can[/name_m] i use a heavy TH name (ex: [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Thora[/name_f], Blythe) if i have two pets that have a heavy TH in their name (Thisbe and Zenith)? Would it be a pita? Lol

I don’t see why not. The names all seem distinctive to me.

I think it’d be fine

I don’t see an issue at all, personally. All lovely names!

You could practice calling them out and see if you get tongue tied or your pets get confused and think you’re calling them or anything like that but I think you would probably be fine.

I think it’s fine. You’re not naming them after your pet which gets a little awkward. And I hate to be a rain cloud here but your baby’s are going to be around longer then your pets are, and you’re kids are going to have lives outside of the home, so it’s very important you choose a name you love and not skip over a name you love for a problem that won’t last forever

I think it’s fine!! So long as the other sounds are different

Unfortunately thats where youre wrong. [name_f]My[/name_f] cat will 1000% live forever and IF she dies, ill get another cat and name her [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] [name_m]Jr[/name_m] :joy::joy:

But thats what my friend said. I just get tied up between both animals names and worried that id try and yell the kids name and it comes out the pets name lol

I do think you’ll at some point get tied up and call for one pet or child and the wrong name will come out, but I think that would probably happen regardless of what the names were. Maybe it would be more likely if the names sounded more similar to each other, but my pets are [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] and [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and my husband and I have definitely called them and each other by all our names at some point. I don’t know if this would happen more if they were named [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and [name_u]Billie[/name_u] or [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] and [name_u]Milo[/name_u]? Maybe if they started with the same sounds your mouth/brain would be less sure which direction to take after that?

ANYWAY, if all of the names on the table for you started with “Th-”, it would seem pretty matchy, but as they don’t, I would just think it was a nice theme you had going and assume that you particularly like the “th” sound.

I think it’s fine! realistically you’re probably going to mix up the names even if the names are super distinct. My mom calls me by my dog’s name all the time and they’re totally different
