It’s also a cool way to get the nn [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] without the popularity of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].

We almost used [name_u]Thaddeus[/name_u] for our second son. I had loved [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] longer, and we ended up going with that instead. I got good feedback here for [name_u]Thaddeus[/name_u] when I asked about it while pregnant.
I don’t know as I’d want to use the two for side-by-side brothers as they’re pretty similar, but maybe for a hypothetical future brother with a sibling or two in between

I like [name_u]Thaddeus[/name_u]! I went to high school with one who sometimes went by [name_m]Thad[/name_m], but I also love the nn [name_m]Tad[/name_m]

Thaddeus is cool! I think it would age really well - I can imagine it easily on any from a baby to a teenager to an adult to an elder.

I love [name_u]Thaddeus[/name_u]! I have [name_u]Thaddeus[/name_u] [name_u]George[/name_u] on my list! [name_u]Thaddeus[/name_u] is adorable on a child and easily wearable on an adult, and the nn [name_m]Thatch[/name_m] comes with it.

I really like it, but I do always pronounce it wrong in my head (TAD-ee-us instead of thad-ee-us). More of a me issue than a general people issue though, I see it written more than I hear it pronounced.
I think go for it, it’s really cool!

Yes yes YES! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it, it’s strong and sensitive and quirky and cool, very like [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] in terms of vibe to me but just a little weightier. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Tad[/name_m] as a potential nickname, although NB favourite [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] also works 
Fun fact: this was one of the names on MIL’s shortlist for DH. Along with [name_m]Dmitri[/name_m] and his actual name, which is also awesome. She has great taste!

I like it! I’m not sure if I would use it myself but it’s a solid name. I like the nicknames [name_m]Thad[/name_m] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]!
