Debut: [name_f]Daisy[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]. It’s simple, cute, and undeniably country. It makes me think “new and freshly blooming.” Think of a young girl and her first boyfriend lying out under the stars. She’s bright and has no idea what the future will hold. She’s new like a spring daisy.

[name_m]Fearless[/name_m]: [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]. It has the romantic angle of “Rose” and it just gives fairytale vibes to me. Not quite as on-the-nose as [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] but still has a princess-y vibe to it. Plus, I had to throw some [name_f]Twilight[/name_f] in there for 2008.

Speak Now: [name_f]June[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]. [name_f]Summer[/name_f] coming into full bloom. Full of life but still seems cutesy and somewhat “old lady.” Like a girl who’s discovering who she is on her own.

Lover: [name_f]Ella[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]. Short and sweet. A lot of fans describe Lover as Taylor’s “denial album,” and I can see it. It’s definitely wrapped up in the same naive vibes as Speak Now, and I think [name_f]Ella[/name_f] conveys that. It is girly and sparkly and comes with an optimism baked into it.

Folklore: [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]. A tonal shift from the previous names. It is also the name of a famous siren who lured sailors to their deaths (perhaps a lake, where the poets went to die…?)

[name_f]Evermore[/name_f]: [name_f]Josephine[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]. Older and more western. I think it gives fall vibes and pairs well with a cowboy aesthetic. [name_f]Lori[/name_f] and [name_f]Josie[/name_f] would be cute twin nicknames.

Midnights: [name_f]Maya[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]. It’s a fun name but every [name_f]Maya[/name_f] I have ever known has been very[name_f][/name_f] troubled. I just associate it with someone who is grappling with all the feelings and regrets of life.

TTPD: [name_f]Audrey[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]. [name_m]Classic[/name_m] and old Hollywood. It gives me rich vibes for a girl who has a lot on her mind.

Showgirl: [name_f]Ruby[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]. Not an obvious choice for an orange and green album, but I’ll explain! While I can only guess about the themes of the album, I think [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] works well because it doesn’t fit. [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] (red) pairs well with both orange and green separately. It looks nice, but it’s not centered on her. You only like what you can see from her and don’t want the deeper aspects of her life in your face (think Mirrorball and I [name_m]Can[/name_m] [name_f]Do[/name_f] It With A Broken Heart). She’s sparkly and pretty and in-your-face. After a lifetime of shining for you, is that all she is? [name_m]Or[/name_m] is there a hidden richness to her that you haven’t noticed?
