LOUD ADS
Three different times in the past few days, I’ve suddenly had an ad play loud music. I happened to have ear buds in the first two times, but not just now when it happened (and I was just a couple feet from my sleeping baby 
). I don’t know what ad it was, unfortunately. There was [name_f]Glad[/name_f] ad on the page and another one I can’t remember. I don’t turn down my phone volume on this site because it’s a forum
This isn’t exactly a forum question, but I used to receive the daily Nameberry “Name of the Day” email newsletter and I haven’t gotten one in about two weeks. Are they temporarily on pause or am I not receiving something? I didn’t unsubscribe (at least not intentionally) and I’ve double checked that they’re not going to spam.

Same here! I thought I accidentally unsubscribed, but if EagleEyes is having the same problem, probably not? Those were cool and I miss them (frequently they would be names which I’d used for my characters and I always loved that).

I had been in charge of the Name of the [name_f]Day[/name_f] newsletter since I started it in [name_f]November[/name_f], and more recently @SparkleNinja18 and @Greyblue have taken on a good share of the newsletters as well.
It makes me so happy that you guys liked it — it was hard to gauge whether people were really interested so that is really amazing to hear.
We are working on transitioning to a Name of the Week newsletter that will be run just by Aeli and [name_f]Grace[/name_f], so stay tuned!

@eileithyia here! @Kipperbo1, you may remember my long-running issues with my account being inaccessible except on one browser. Recently, Nameberry became completely unaccesible to me in any capacity. I figured I would attempt to make a new account with a new email, and thus @kasatka was born… However, it seems to have magically merged my accounts and suddenly, my browser issue is fixed! A new account under a new email seems to be all it took…
Is there anything I need to do to confirm this automatic “changeover”? I’m not 100% sure what I’m asking here, but it’s a strange situation indeed!

That is so interesting! I am so glad that that seems to have fixed the issues. I have never heard of an automatic merge happening to anyone before. Usually I have to manually merge accounts when someone makes a new account.
There have been a few weird glitches lately with account merging, so maybe this was along those lines? Really not sure, but it worked out nicely it seems!

Haven’t been on here for a while, so apologies if this has been answered before. The unisex names seem to be only coming up as either male or female, don’t know if that’s just a problem on my device or if it’s a nameberry issue?

Neither! Nameberry went through an update recently, so now all names show up as the gender they’re more commonly used for – for example, [name_m]Finn[/name_m] has a male and female entry, but it will show up blue because it’s more common for boys. But there’s now a direct link to the other gender entry for the name on the name’s page!
For example, under the male [name_m]Finn[/name_m] entry:

With the new update, what determines whether the feminine or masculine page pops up first when you search for it?
A lot of names seem to pop up with the less commonly used gender as the first option (for example [name_m]Eli[/name_m] comes up with the feminine page first and [name_f]Harper[/name_f] comes up with the masculine page first) and since you can’t tell from the landing page which you’re going to get, I keep ending up on the wrong one. I know it’s easy to switch between them now, just curious how the system makes that decision!
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this answered before somewhere, and whichever gender was entered first when a name page was created, is the one that will appear at the top of the search results.

I was just wondering what “unlisted” on a post meant?
I saw the icon for it next to the title of a closed thread, and then scrolled to the bottom to see it had that icon next to the update of “unlisted” for the page. I was just curious is all😅

The NAMEBERRY link in the red rectangle below used to link to the main Nameberry.com page. Now it just links straight back to the forum homepage. Is there a reason for this change? Is this a mistake? [name_m]Will[/name_m] this link be fixed?
