I’ve met a [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], a [name_f]Bunnie[/name_f] and a [name_f]Flossie[/name_f] but other than that nothing interesting. People really like ‘normal’ names where I live.
I’ve met a [name_f]Bunny[/name_f] before, but I don’t care for that one at all, so meh…
The only one I’ve met that I actually like is [name_m]Cyprus[/name_m]. It is just so unusual where I live that my ears perk up every time I hear this person’s name called at work lol
I know a little [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] too! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.
[name_m]Cyprus[/name_m] is pretty cool, though I personally prefer [name_f]Cypress[/name_f]. I’d love to meet one of those!
[name_m]Just[/name_m] remembered I also met a little girl called [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f] and a little boy called [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]-[name_m]Bear[/name_m] once.
I have met a [name_m]Godfrey[/name_m], a [name_f]Scheherazade[/name_f], an [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], a [name_m]Spike[/name_m], and two sisters called [name_f]Perdita[/name_f] and [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] “[name_f]Mintie[/name_f]”. I also know of a [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f], a (male) [name_f]Bunny[/name_f], and a [name_m]Mungo[/name_m].
There was a girl named [name_u]Scout[/name_u] who lived on my dorm floor last year.
I’ve also met sisters named M!dori, Aniel@, [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], and Ir!e.
There are siblings that go to my sister’s school named [name_m]Killian[/name_m] and [name_f]Maelys[/name_f]. I still hold out hope that they pronounce [name_f]Maelys[/name_f] correctly.
My mom works with someone named [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], and another woman with a daughter named [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f].
There was an [name_m]Artemus[/name_m] (b) a year younger than me in high school.
I met a little boy named [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] which made swoon. I also met sisters [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] and [name_f]Petra[/name_f] which I thought was lovely. There was also a [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] which was pretty, and a [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] [name_f]Beth[/name_f].
[name_f]Raphaela[/name_f] [name_f]Nephele[/name_f]
[name_f]Danae[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f]
[name_f]Maria[/name_f] [name_f]Vasiliki[/name_f] ‘Marivili’ ([name_f]Maria[/name_f] [name_f]Vasiliki[/name_f] is a very popular name in Greece, but Marivili isnt) pr Mah-ree-VEE-lee.
[name_f]Evangelia[/name_f] [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] ‘Veli’ pr VEH-lee. ( as you can see the current trend in Greece is popular names with very unusual nicknames)
[name_m]Lancelot[/name_m] and [name_f]Demelza[/name_f] are amazing. And @kew, I have met so many Tatianas that I don’t even find it GP anymore! It looks like it’s the most popular name among middle-aged Slavic women (or maybe [name_f]Natalia[/name_f]?).
I’ve met a [name_f]Medea[/name_f] and an [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]. But most children I know have either very boring or trendy names. I can’t remember the last time I’ve heard something exciting.
I knew ‘twin’ girls (both are the same age but are adopted from two different families so while not related are now sisters) named [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] & [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]. I also knew a [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] (g), and heard a mother call after her son [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] at the park.
My brother went to school with kids named [name_f]Antigone[/name_f], [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] (male), [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f], and [name_f]Medea[/name_f].
I don’t know if it’s just my area, but [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] actually seems popular among that age group and some older teens. We have a lot of Eastern Europeans here, but the young Tatianas that I know of are just English.
The best ones are a mother and son, [name_f]Athena[/name_f] and [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u], and two brothers [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Merlin[/name_m].
My best friend used to be [name_f]Luane[/name_f] (loo-AIN), she passed away, and my middle name is [name_m]Hawk[/name_m].
